KeySeek App Helps Catholics Prepare for PAC27 Marian Congress With Interactive Game and First World Chalice of Faith Competition

Building on the excitement of the FIFA World Cup, the interactive game brings together nations in a friendly competition to share and deepen the Catholic faith

OTTAWA, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Catholics around the world can now download a new app, KeySeek, to learn about the faith, compete with others around the world, and stay informed about Jubilee33, a series of international events that culminates in 2033 in Rome to celebrate the 2000th anniversary of Christ's Resurrection. The app will also be used in the inaugural World Chalice of Faith global competition. Beginning in 2027, the winning pan regional group of countries each year will receive the KeySeek World Chalice of Faith, sculpted by Timothy Schmalz.

KeySeek is the interactive home of the inaugural World Chalice of Faith global competition.

Through the app, players can play the KeySeek game by answering faith-related multiple choice trivia questions to unlock the “JB33 Vault.” The game can be played as a standalone single player, or alongside the KeySeek Board Game, scheduled to be released in the fall of 2026.

Nations will play the KeySeek game to compete for the World Chalice of Faith in five regions: Pan American North, Pan American South, Pan European, Pan African, and Pan Asia-Oceania. The competition will take place in the app for a 40-day period beginning July 13, 2027, and ending on August 21, 2027. The winning group of nations will be announced on August 22, 2027—the feast of the Queenship of Mary—and presented with the World Chalice of Faith at the PAC27 Marian Congress in Ottawa. The chalice is being sculpted by Timothy Schmalz, a renowned Canadian artist known for works such as Homeless Jesus and Angels Unawares.

The KeySeek app is the official digital gateway to the Jubilee33 Journey, its events, and the platform for the World Chalice of Faith. The PAC27 Marian Congress in Ottawa is the first of three intercontinental events on the Road to Jubilee33 journey. It will take place from September 2 to 5, 2027, at TD Stadium in Ottawa and is expected to attract tens of thousands of participants.

“The World Chalice of Faith is a tremendous opportunity to bring the world together through friendly competition while teaching people about the faith,” says Dennis Girard, Founder and Architect of the KeySeek App and World Chalice of Faith, and Founder of the PAC27 Marian Congress.

The World Chalice of Faith is inspired by FIFA World Cup founder Jules Rimet’s vision. Rimet was a devout Catholic shaped by the social teaching of Pope Leo XIII, particularly his encyclical on the dignity of work. Rimet served as FIFA President for 33 years (1921–1954), a detail of striking significance in light of the Jubilee33 movement that now bears that number.

For Rimet, sport was not entertainment; it was a vehicle for fraternal solidarity across classes and nations. He founded the Red Star Club in 1897, a sports club open to all social classes, races, and backgrounds. Similarly, the World Cup of Faith embraces all nations, reflecting Jubilee33’s mission rooted in John 17:21 — “That they may all be one."

PAC27 and the World Chalice of Faith build on the excitement of the FIFA World Cup as it winds down this year. The competition and forum will welcome the same nations and the same cultural energy, redirected from competition to proclamation.

“Every four years, the FIFA World Cup creates a unifying global moment,” concludes Girard. “With the World Chalice of Faith, the Church offers something similar, but with an eye on the eternal and the joy of Catholic community.”

The free KeySeek app is now available at keyseek.org and the accompanying board game is scheduled for release in fall 2026. For more information on the Road to Jubilee33, visit jubilee33.org.

The PAC27 Marian Congress is presented through the unified collaboration of bishops, confraternities, shrines, religious communities, and lay apostolates from across the Americas and beyond — leaders and ministries working together to strengthen faith, foster communion, and advance the Church’s mission on the road to Jubilee33. Tickets are available in September 2026.

PAC27 will also be the launchpad for the inaugural Holy Family Pilgrimage Experience, a six-day behind the scenes look at Canada's rich Catholic legacy, including pilgrimages to basilicas and shrines devoted to the Blessed Mother, Saint Anne, and the Holy Family along the St. Lawrence River and Rideau Canal. Participants can register interest for the pilgrimage experience now.
