Innovaccer Brings Gravity to Infusion as $100B Market Outgrows Its Manual Workflows

Gravity's AI agents, with human oversight, take on the manual admin work of the infusion access workflow, so patients start treatment sooner and clinical teams get time back.

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Innovaccer today announced that Gravity, its healthcare-native AI platform, is now configured for the infusion access workflow. Gravity for Infusion applies the same platform behind Innovaccer's health system and payer deployments to the administrative steps that sit between an infusion referral and a patient's first treatment. Working on top of a provider's existing EHR, pharmacy, and payer systems, Gravity brings referral, clinical, and coverage information into one place and deploys AI agents to support the administrative work, with the provider's own staff reviewing and approving at every step they choose.

Innovaccer launches Gravity for Infusion to streamline infusion access, reducing administrative burden so patients begin treatment faster and care teams can focus on care.

Infusion is one of the fastest-growing areas of outpatient care. The U.S. infusion therapy market now exceeds $100 billion across all sites of care, and more than 60% of drugs in development are delivered by infusion. Yet the administrative work required to start a patient on therapy is still largely manual. Intake, benefits verification, prior authorization, and scheduling are handled across fax, phone, and portals, and the time those steps take can delay when a patient is able to begin treatment.

With Gravity for Infusion, AI agents help a provider's team assemble complete and accurate information for each step of the access workflow, from referral intake and benefits verification through preparing prior authorization documentation and scheduling. Clinical and coverage decisions stay with the provider's clinicians and staff, and human review is configurable at any point. Operators also get a single view across their sites, including chair utilization, referral status, and payer turnaround, so they can manage the network as a whole rather than site by site.

"Infusion is one of the most operationally demanding areas of care, and the administrative work involved can be what stands between a patient and the start of their treatment," said Abhinav Shashank, Co-Founder and CEO of Innovaccer. "By bringing Gravity to this workflow, we are giving infusion providers a way to take on that administrative work with AI agents and human oversight, so patients can begin care sooner and clinical teams can spend more of their time on care instead of paperwork. This is the same Gravity platform our health system and payer customers already use, now applied to a new set of workflows."

Gravity for Infusion is available now. Ambulatory infusion centers, management services organizations, and health system infusion service lines can request a demonstration at https://innovaccer.com/solutions/infusion.
