DEFCON AI Announces General (Ret.) Thomas Bussiere as Strategic Advisor

MCLEAN, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--DEFCON AI today announced that General (Ret.) Thomas Bussiere, U.S. Air Force General and former Commander of Air Force Global Strike Command, has joined the company as a Strategic Advisor. In this role, General Bussiere will work closely with DEFCON AI leadership, engineers, and customers to advance ongoing efforts across the company’s work with the Department of War focused on modernization, operational optimization, and improving decision advantage.

Over a distinguished 40-year career, General Bussiere led some of the nation’s most critical strategic organizations, overseeing global operations, advanced technology integration, enterprise transformation, force readiness, and multi-domain command and control. He held roles across flying, staff, and command assignments including Deputy Director for Nuclear, Homeland Defense, and Current Operations, Joint Staff and Inspector General, Headquarters, Air Force Global Strike Command Advanced Programs Division Headquarters, Air Combat Command. He additionally served as the Commander of multiple agencies, including the Eighth Air Force, Eleventh Air Force, Alaskan Command, Joint Functional Component of Global Strike and Task Force 204, U.S. Strategic Command.

As DEFCON AI accelerates the development of next-generation decision-support technologies, General Bussiere’s experience will help bridge the gap between emerging analytical capabilities and operational applications. His guidance will help ensure that the company continues to develop solutions that not only advance technology, but also provides practical, relevant, and impact for the evolving needs of the Department of War and joint force commanders.
