NIRI Chicago Elects 2026-2027 Officers and Directors
CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--The Chicago chapter of NIRI, The Association for Investor Relations (NIRI Chicago), has elected 10 officers and directors to its board for the 2026-2027 term, effective July 1.
“As capital markets evolve, shareholder expectations continue to rise, and technological advancements reshape how companies engage with investors, the role of the investor relations officer continues to expand in scope and strategic importance,” said Brooks O. Rennie, incoming chapter president. “NIRI Chicago is fortunate to be guided by an exceptional board of directors whose leadership, experience and commitment position our organization to remain a leading resource for investor relations professionals across the Midwest and the nation. I encourage current and prospective members to join us throughout the year—beginning with our 2026 Midwest IR Symposium on Sept. 17 in downtown Chicago—to learn from industry leaders and explore the trends shaping the future of investor relations.”
Officers
President: Brooks O. Rennie, vice president, head of investor relations, Byline Bancorp, Inc. (NYSE: BY). This is Rennie’s fifth year on the NIRI Chicago board. He recently received an MBA from the Kellstadt Graduate School of Business, DePaul University; is a former director on the NIRI Twin Cities board; and was named a NIRI 40 Under 40 honoree in 2019.
Executive Vice President and Treasurer: Darla Rivera, director of investor relations, CF Industries (NYSE: CF). Rivera begins her third year on the board after taking an active role on the 2023, 2024 and 2025 IR Workshop committees.
Vice President, Communications: Michael Ferreter, director, Rivel, Inc. This is Ferreter’s second year on the NIRI Chicago board. He is a longtime chapter volunteer, including as co-chair of the 2019 IR Workshop.
Vice President, Programs: Barbara Noverini, CFA, vice president of investor relations, Molson Coors Beverage Co. (NYSE: TAP). Noverini has held leadership roles on the board since 2020, including as its president, vice president of programming, advocacy ambassador and last year’s chair. She received a chapter volunteer award from the national organization in 2021 and 2022.
Vice President, Sponsorship: Adam Dahl, vice president of business development - Midwest, Corbin Advisors. This is Dahl’s fourth year on the NIRI Chicago board. He was the chapter’s advocacy ambassador from 2023 to 2025 and has participated in several IR Workshop committees.
Vice President, Membership: Jeff Myers, regional head of listings - Midwest, NYSE. This is Myers’ third year on the NIRI Chicago board. He was chair of the 2025 Midwest IR Symposium committee and co-chaired the 2024 IR Workshop committee. The New York Stock Exchange is part of Intercontinental Exchange, Inc. (NYSE: ICE).
Directors
Chair of the Board: Robert K. Cherry, former vice president of investor relations, Methode Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: MEI). This is Cherry’s fifth year on the NIRI Chicago board, having previously served as president, co-executive vice president and treasurer. He is a past IR Workshop committee member.
Director: Victor J. Jendras, senior vice president, Alliance Advisors. Jendras previously served as NIRI Chicago’s chair, president, executive vice president and vice president of programs.
Director: Maryellen T. Thielen, APR, ABC, president, Forest Glen Communications LLC. Thielen has been a NIRI Chicago chair, president, executive vice president and vice president of communications. She now participates in the annual Midwest IR Symposium committee.
Director: Greg Bardi, CFA, head of investor relations at TransUnion (NYSE: TRU). This is Bardi’s first year on the board. He was a member of the 2025 Midwest IR Symposium committee.
