Fellow Health Expands Mail-In Semen Analysis and Clinic Partnerships Across New York

Following New York conditional approval earlier this month, Fellow Health extends its mail-in semen analysis to fertility and urology practices statewide, deepening physician partnerships, embedding into clinical workflows, and expanding referral networks across the state

SAN LEANDRO, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fellow Health, a leading company focused on advancing male reproductive health through patient-centric testing solutions, today announced expansion of its clinical partnerships across New York, making its comprehensive mail-in semen analysis available to fertility and urology practices statewide. The expansion follows Fellow Health’s New York State conditional approval earlier this month and reflects the company’s provider-first approach: integrating advanced semen analysis directly into clinical workflows rather than around them.

With New York conditional approval in place, fertility and urology clinicians can offer Fellow Health’s validated analysis as a managed extension of their own care, preserving continuity, supporting follow-up compliance, and keeping the provider at the center of the patient’s reproductive health journey. Orders originate with the physician, patients complete collection at home, and results return to the practice to inform clinical decision-making. By making testing easier and more accessible, this approach reduces time to treatment.

“Our goal has always been to make the semen analysis process better for both patients and physicians,” said James F. Smith, MD, MS, Chief Medical Officer and NYS Laboratory Director at Fellow Health. “That's why we built Fellow Health on clinical rigor from the start. With over 60 peer-reviewed abstracts and manuscripts supporting our platform, meeting New York's requirements is the bar we set for ourselves.”

“The arrival of Fellow’s home semen collection test in New York marks a pivotal moment in how we approach reproductive healthcare,” said Natan Bar-Chama, MD, Director of the Center for Male Reproductive Health at RMA of New York. “AUA and ASRM guidelines now emphasize evaluating male and female partners in parallel from the very beginning, and a full semen analysis remains the absolute bedrock of that evaluation. Time is an incredibly valuable commodity in reproductive medicine, yet clinical testing requirements have historically caused friction and delay. Fellow removes those barriers, giving men a complete, clinical-grade semen analysis from the privacy of their own homes and the opportunity to be proactive early in the family-building journey.”

Fellow Health expects to receive full New York State approval for its comprehensive semen analysis and will continue working with NYSDOH CLEP through that process. The test is available to New York providers effective immediately.
