Prestige Protection Plan Unveils Best in Class Integration with Cubby

COLUMBUS, Ohio--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Prestige Protection Plan (PPP), the tenant protection product built and operated by Prestige Storage — a top-50 operator running 67 facilities across 7 states, is now integrated with Cubby, the leading facility management platform in the self-storage industry. The integration brings PPP's full coverage automation directly into Cubby, so any operator on the platform can identify uncovered tenants, send compliant notices, and auto-enroll lapses without lifting a finger.

PPP’s proprietary software reads tenant and coverage data through Cubby's API and continuously identifies two groups: tenants with no private coverage on file, and tenants whose private coverage has expired or is about to.

Tenants then receive a clear, branded notice sent directly from Cubby, explaining that proof of insurance is missing or expired, with 30 days to either upload a current certificate or be enrolled automatically in the protection plan. If the tenant hasn't provided documentation, PPP can auto-enroll them in coverage and send a confirmation note explaining the charge directly via the Cubby API. The note can include the coverage amount and how to opt out at any time by providing a valid declarations page. The system then monitors the active tenant base and re-runs the same flow whenever a certificate expires.

PPP is not a third-party insurance product retrofitted onto storage. It was built and launched by Prestige Storage in February 2024 to run their own portfolio, then opened to third-party operators after it proved itself in-house. Two years later PPP is the protection plan provider to 109 facilities across the United States and 18,000 protected units.
