Phoenix Energy Scholarship Application Window Closes for 2026 Cycle

Submissions Are Now Closed for the $15,000 Award; Recipient to be Announced September 1, 2026

IRVINE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Phoenix Energy One, LLC (“Phoenix Energy”) has officially closed the application window for the 2026 Phoenix Energy Scholarship, a $15,000 award supporting one student pursuing a career in the oil and gas industry. Applications were accepted from February 3 through June 30, 2026, and the company is no longer accepting submissions for the current cycle.

“We’re grateful to every student who took the time to share their goals and their vision for the future of energy with us this year,” said Adam Ferrari.

Now in its fourth year, the scholarship was established by Phoenix Energy CEO Adam Ferrari to support the next generation of talent in petroleum engineering, geology, energy management, and other disciplines critical to the future of domestic energy production. It recognizes students who demonstrate academic excellence, technical promise, and a clear interest in advancing the U.S. energy sector.

“We’re grateful to every student who took the time to share their goals and their vision for the future of energy with us this year,” said Adam Ferrari. “As an engineer myself, I understand the value of technical education and the importance of investing in young minds with the drive and ability to make an impact. This scholarship is part of our broader mission to support the future of American energy, one student at a time.”

With the application period now closed, the Scholarship Committee has begun reviewing submissions. Three finalists are expected to be selected by July 31, 2026, and will be invited to participate in virtual interviews with the committee between August 13 and August 21, 2026. Finalists will also be asked to verify academic and enrollment information as part of the review.

The scholarship recipient will be officially announced on September 1, 2026. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the recipient’s college or university and applied toward tuition expenses.

The Phoenix Energy Scholarship is open to students who will begin their first year of full-time enrollment at an accredited college or university in the fall of 2026 and are pursuing a degree aligned with a career in the oil and gas industry. Eligible applicants were required to maintain a minimum GPA of 3.5 and to submit an original essay of 2,000 to 3,000 words outlining their career goals, interest in the oil and gas industry, and vision for the future of the energy sector.

In keeping with the program’s emphasis on authentic, original work, the use of artificial intelligence (AI) tools to generate, substantially rewrite, or meaningfully shape essay content was prohibited and grounds for disqualification. The scholarship reflects Phoenix Energy’s broader commitment to supporting educational opportunities and investing in the future of American energy leadership.

The 2025 scholarship was awarded to Brody Greer Patton, a first-year Petroleum Engineering student at Texas Tech University, who was recognized for his academic record and strong personal connection to the energy industry.
