Universal Display Corporation’s Dr. Julie Brown Receives Prestigious IEEE Frederik Philips Award

EWING, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Universal Display Corporation (UDC) (Nasdaq: OLED), a global leader in energy-efficient OLED technologies and materials, today announced that Dr. Julie Brown, Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer, has been honored with the IEEE Frederik Philips Award, recognizing her outstanding accomplishments and “leadership in the development of materials and technologies for phosphorescent Organic Light Emitting Diode (OLED) displays used in consumer electronics.”

Since joining Universal Display in 1998, Dr. Brown has guided the Company’s innovation strategy from its early-stage development through commercialization and continues to shape its roadmap for future advancements. As CTO, she leads the Company’s global R&D efforts, driving forward OLED emissive layer technologies that enable high-performance, energy-efficient displays across a wide range of consumer electronics—from smartphones and tablets to laptops, monitors and televisions.
