Greenlight Expands Further Into Family Tech with the Launch of Greenlight Family Hub

Family Hub offers a dedicated smart home display built for families, giving them an all-in-one technology solution to ease the burden of household management

ATLANTA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Greenlight, the family technology company trusted by over 6.5 million family members, today announced its further expansion into the family tech category with the launch of Greenlight Family Hub. Hub is a dedicated smart home display built for families – a single shared household command center to coordinate calendars, photos, chores, an AI family assistant, grocery lists, and safety features for the whole family. Greenlight Family Hub is the latest addition to the Greenlight product ecosystem, which includes GPS-enabled Safe Devices, debit cards, saving and investing for kids, financial account protection, and identity theft prevention. This milestone marks Greenlight’s foray into becoming an all-in-one technology company for families.

With the transformation of digital tools and the increasingly complex financial landscape, parents need tech solutions that make managing their households easier. More than half (56%) of parents say managing their household negatively impacts their mental well-being, and over one-third (35%) say they feel overwhelmed by their endless to-do lists*. Greenlight Family Hub solves this issue by unifying nearly every aspect of household management into one seamless solution that works for the whole family.

“From day one, we’ve prioritized the feedback from Greenlight families, expanding beyond a debit card for kids into saving, investing, and family safety," said Tim Sheehan, CEO and Co-Founder of Greenlight. “With Family Hub, we’re making family life easier to manage.”

Family Hub is available in two sizes: 10.1" ($199) and 15.6" ($299). Both come with a wall mount and a table stand, so they can be used in the kitchen, on a countertop, or hung on the wall. Families can choose between a free version of Family Hub or Family Hub+, which unlocks advanced AI and safety features for $9.99/ mo or $99/ year. Unlike a generic tablet, Hub runs a closed, family-safe platform — no app store, no browser, no distractions.

Key Features Include:

  • Family Calendar: Integrates Google, Outlook, iCloud, and Webcal into one shared, real-time view.
  • Chores & Rewards: Kids earn stars toward custom rewards or allowance for completing tasks, while parents stay in control with an Admin PIN.
  • Safety and Location**: Provides real-time location of kids via phone or Safe Family device. Parents can see where their kids are via a full-screen map.
  • AI Assistant**: Hands-free help for questions, reminders, or family updates, voice-activated with “Hey Greenlight.”
  • Free Photo Display: The only family display to show photos at no extra cost, with seamless Google Photos and iCloud sync.
  • Shared Lists: Grocery and to-do lists sync instantly across the whole family.

“Family Hub is a natural extension of everything Greenlight has built for families over the past decade,” said Sushil Sharma, Chief Product Officer and Chief Marketing Officer of Greenlight. “It brings together the tools families rely on into a first-of-its-kind platform combining money management, coordination, and safety, helping kids build positive habits without needing a phone.”

To date, Greenlight has managed nearly $10 billion across earnings, spending, savings, and investing. Later this year, the company will introduce more financial tools within Hub that Greenlight families already love, including the ability to see their Greenlight debit card balances and manage allowances, savings, and spending. Greenlight Family Hub is available now at greenlight.com/family-hub.
