Chef Robotics Hires Nicolas De Keijser as VP of Sales to Accelerate Enterprise Adoption of Physical AI

SAN FRANCISCO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Chef Robotics, a leader in physical AI for the food industry, today announced the appointment of Nicolas De Keijser as Vice President of Sales.

Chef provides AI-powered food assembly robots to food manufacturers. Since onboarding its first customer, Amy’s Kitchen, in 2022, the company has expanded to serve 15 mid-market and enterprise food manufacturers across North America and Europe. Earlier this year, Chef announced that its robots had completed 100 million servings in production—more than all other food robotics companies combined—forming the world’s largest real-world dataset of deformable material training data.

As Vice President of Sales, De Keijser will lead Chef’s commercial organization and help expand the company’s presence among enterprise food manufacturers.

De Keijser joins Chef after more than six years at Boston Dynamics, where he served as Senior Director of Sales and built and led the commercial team that brought the company’s warehouse automation products to customers worldwide. Prior to Boston Dynamics, he spent 12 years at ABB in a variety of sales, business development, and commercial leadership roles. During that time, he developed the company’s North American business in robotic assembly and test applications and built engineering and sales support teams in Silicon Valley and Michigan.

“Nicolas brings deep experience scaling robotics businesses and working with enterprise customers around the world,” said Rajat Bhageria, Founder and CEO of Chef Robotics. “As demand for physical AI continues to grow across the food industry, his leadership will help us reach more customers and accelerate the adoption of robotics in food production.”

“I couldn’t be more excited to join Chef," said De Keijser. “I’ve followed the company’s progress for several years now and believe it has reached an important stage of growth. Chef has demonstrated that physical AI can deliver measurable value in production environments, and I look forward to helping more food manufacturers deploy its technology at scale.”
