Quectel Opens New R&D Center in Manaus, Brazil to Strengthen Innovation, Enhance the Customer Experience and Local Support across LATAM

MANAUS, Brazil--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Quectel Wireless Solutions, a global end-to-end IoT solutions provider, today announces the opening of a new research and development (R&D) office in Manaus, Brazil, marking a significant expansion of the company’s global R&D footprint and reinforcing its long‑term commitment to the Latin American market.

Located in one of Brazil’s most important technology and manufacturing hubs, the Manaus R&D Center will focus on supporting the local customer base in the LATAM market, driving awareness of Quectel’s IoT solutions portfolio, including its smart modules, short‑range technologies, and PCBA/ODM IoT solutions. The new site is designed to bring engineering expertise closer to regional customers and partners, enabling faster collaboration and technical support.

The Manaus team will play a key role in enhancing Quectel’s end‑to‑end IoT offering, supporting applications across industrial, utilities, smart metering, asset tracking, and other high‑growth sectors in the region. The center will also contribute to global R&D programmes, working closely with Quectel teams worldwide.

Quectel plans to grow its team of software and hardware engineers at the Manaus R&D office this year and continue growing the team to support both local innovation and global development initiatives.
