Over decades of operation, aerospace and defense manufacturers accumulate volumes of designs and institutional knowledge. Much of that knowledge is undocumented. When the organization’s senior engineers retire, they take the reasoning behind each design decision with them. When an engineer starts a new project, they rarely see what the other teams have already built. As a result, they redesign from scratch, re-source a part the company already buys, and take weeks to quote. Strict export controls such as ITAR greatly reduce the AI offerings available, because this data must be carefully managed and not leave the customer’s ITAR perimeter.
"U.S. manufacturers have always been the pioneers of aerospace innovation and space exploration. CADDi is proud to help these innovators expand their AI-enabled transformation. The team has been working hard to deliver the same impact to aerospace companies that we have already seen in our automotive and heavy industry customers,” said Chris Cope, Vice President of Engineering at CADDi.
He continues, “As a global company that the world’s largest manufacturers already trust with their most sensitive data, we needed to make sure we did this with multiple layers of control for data residency and restricting all access and management to U.S. persons. I see this as the first step, not the finish line to expand our offerings to the defense industrial base. Very excited to announce this on behalf of the team.”
CADDi Drawer is SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001 certified. Building on those standards, CADDi also meets the strict U.S. data residency and U.S.-person control on that foundation.
