Since 2023, Baxter has been serving as President, playing a central role in leading Albireo Energy’s growth strategy, overseeing sales performance, and operating results. Under his leadership, the company reported strong profitable growth and a near-balanced mix of building controls solutions and ongoing service. Baxter spearheaded the company’s regional go-to-market approach and advanced data center, mission critical, energy procurement, and Intelligent Services strategies.

Baxter previously held senior leadership positions at Munch’s Supply, Trane Technologies and KONE. He is recognized for driving transformational service growth and brings experience in talent development, service expansion and long-term business sustainability.

“Kevin’s appointment reflects our disciplined succession planning process and our commitment to developing strong leaders across Albireo Energy,” said Jim Mahoney, Managing Partner at Huron Capital and co-Chairman of the Albireo Energy Board. “As CEO, Kevin will lead Albireo Energy’s value-creation strategy by advancing our market position, expanding geographic reach, and strengthening the capabilities that help building owners operate more efficiently and effectively. Huron Capital’s support of this transition reinforces our confidence in Albireo Energy’s direction and long-term potential.”

As co-Chairman, Wash will continue to focus on the company’s M&A activity, support strategic planning, engage with key customers, and provide governance along with the company’s Board of Directors.

Over the past three years, Wash has led Albireo Energy through a significant period of transformation, improving operational performance and establishing a long-term strategy centered on the company’s five Must Win Battles: People, Smart Growth, Service, Project Excellence and Cash.

“Larry’s leadership as CEO and Chairman has positioned Albireo Energy for long-term success, and we appreciate the strategic vision, operational discipline, and people-focused culture he established,” said Mahoney. “We know his strategic agility and commitment to Albireo Energy, our strategy, our customers, and our people will remain central, and he will be an instrumental partner to Kevin and the Board of Directors.”

Under Wash’s leadership, the company integrated 24 acquisitions into a single operating platform, recorded sustained EBITDA growth, and achieved strong customer satisfaction and retention. Wash also advanced employee benefits and was a major proponent of safety and employee engagement initiatives.

Albireo Energy enters the second half of 2026 with a focused leadership team, a clear strategic roadmap and continued momentum across its branches.
