WHOOP Expands Support for Healthcare Professionals with New Membership Subsidy

New initiative provides eligible healthcare professionals with a 50% subsidy on new WHOOP Life memberships and 12-month membership extensions

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--WHOOP, the human performance company, today announced a new membership subsidy program for healthcare professionals, reflecting the company's growing commitment to supporting the clinicians, caregivers, and frontline providers who dedicate their lives to improving the health of others.

Through the program, eligible healthcare professionals can receive a 50% subsidy on new WHOOP Life memberships and 12-month membership extensions, providing access to the company’s most advanced health, recovery, and longevity insights.

Healthcare professionals work in some of the most physically and mentally demanding environments in society, often balancing long hours, overnight shifts, high stress, and critical decision-making responsibilities. WHOOP helps members better understand how these demands impact their health through continuous monitoring of sleep, recovery, strain, stress, cardiovascular health, and other key physiological metrics.

“Healthcare professionals spend their careers caring for others, often while navigating long hours, disrupted sleep, and high levels of stress,” said Dr. Dan Henderson, AVP, Medical Director and member of the WHOOP Medical Advisory Board.” This program gives clinicians access to objective health insights that can help them better understand their recovery, manage stress, and support their long-term wellbeing.”

The subsidy is available to a broad range of healthcare professionals, including physicians, resident physicians, fellows, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other eligible licensed clinical professionals. The special initiative will run through August 31.

In the United States, WHOOP leverages ID.me to streamline eligibility verification for healthcare professionals. Existing WHOOP members who qualify for the program can also apply the subsidy toward a 12-month membership extension directly through the WHOOP app.

Outside of the United States, healthcare organizations, hospital systems, medical associations, and professional groups with 50 or more clinicians can contact healthcaresubsidy@whoop.com for support with eligibility verification and ordering.

The healthcare professional subsidy reflects the broader WHOOP commitment to advancing preventative health and supporting the people at the forefront of care delivery. As WHOOP continues to expand its presence in healthcare, the company has strengthened its healthcare ecosystem through initiatives including WHOOP Advanced Labs, clinician-reviewed blood testing, on-demand clinician access, and the integration of electronic health records within the WHOOP app.

WHOOP has also expanded its relationships across the healthcare sector, including investment from organizations such as Mayo Clinic and Abbott, and established a Medical Advisory Board to help guide future product development and clinical innovation. By connecting continuous wearable data with sleep, recovery, cardiovascular, and behavioral insights, WHOOP is helping members take a more proactive approach to understanding and improving their health.

The new program builds on the longstanding commitment from WHOOP, to supporting communities dedicated to serving others, including veterans, active-duty military personnel, and first responders.

Eligible healthcare professionals can verify their eligibility and learn more here.

Offer applies to one 12-month membership, only.
