Heart + Paw® Launches Personalized Care Plans, Redefining Preventive Petcare with Flexible, Customized Wellness Solutions

PHILADELPHIA--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Heart + Paw®, the fast-growing veterinary care organization committed to Petcare Reimagined®, today announced the launch of Heart + Paw Care Plans, a new approach to preventive pet healthcare designed to deliver personalized, veterinarian-guided annual care for dogs and cats, tailored to the unique needs of each individual pet.

Unlike traditional industry wellness plans offered today, each Heart + Paw Care Plan is personally recommended by the individual veterinarian, based on the pet’s unique age, health history, and lifestyle – helping to ensure every plan includes only the preventive services that each pet truly needs each year. Pet parents receive a yearly routine plan for care with interest-free, affordable monthly payment options and no annual or enrollment fee.

“At Heart + Paw, we believe preventive care should be personalized, transparent, and designed to support healthier pets, not bundled around unnecessary services,” said Dr. Mary Peacock, Heart + Paw Chief Veterinary Officer. “Our Care Plans reflect our commitment to making high-quality pet healthcare more accessible, predictable, and tailored for every family, while enabling our doctors to practice medicine autonomously.”

Heart + Paw Care Plans start at the location level, meaning each center has its own set of six plans based on the age group of dogs and cats (puppy/kitten, adult, senior). Every single plan is then tailored in collaboration between the veterinarian and pet parent to ensure they are providing essential needs-based care.

Key differentiators of Heart + Paw Care Plans include:

  • Fully personalized preventive care based on each pet’s age, lifestyle, and medical history
  • Flexible plan design that allows services to be added or removed as needed
  • 10% discount on dental services, including extractions
  • Free unlimited technician visits
  • Free 24/7 teletriage support
  • No enrollment or annual fee
  • Additional needs-based customizations

To bring this vision to life, Heart + Paw set out to find a partner capable of reimagining highly personalized plan delivery, ultimately selecting Nest to build the program together.

"True personalization in preventive care is something the industry talks about far more than it delivers,” said Ishani Gujral, Nest CEO. “Heart + Paw brought a clear vision for what care could be, and we built the platform to make it real for every pet, in every exam room, across their network. Pet parents get a plan built around their pet's unique needs, and veterinarians keep the autonomy to practice the medicine they know is right. We're proud to be their partner in reimagining petcare."

By aligning plan design with recommended and necessary care rather than predetermined packages of services that individual pets don’t need in that year, Heart + Paw aims to create better health outcomes for pets while offering greater value and trust to pet parents.

“Too often, wellness plans are structured around fixed packages that may include services a pet doesn’t need,” said Dave Lasus, Heart + Paw CEO. “Heart + Paw Care Plans are unique. We want every service included to be used because it supports a healthier pet, not because it increases margins.”

This launch further strengthens Heart + Paw’s vision to reimagine pet healthcare through personalized care, innovative technology, and a more transparent, accessible, and compassionate experience for pet parents.
