Team Led by Experienced Advisor James Nichols to Serve Growing Metro Area

PITTSBURGH--(BUSINESS WIRE)--NewEdge Capital Group, LLC, announced today that a team led by James Nichols has joined NewEdge Wealth, a registered investment advisor specializing in servicing the needs of ultra high net worth and high net worth families, family offices and institutional clients, further expanding the firm’s presence in Nashville.

Nichols, a wealth manager with nearly two decades of experience, will serve as Principal within a new downtown Nashville office for NewEdge Wealth. This office further strengthens NewEdge’s presence in the city, building on the regional foundation established when Rich Ina joined NewEdge Wealth in 2023. Nichols will advise entrepreneurs and business owners before and after liquidity events. Also joining are Vice President, Client Service, Erin Thomas and Analyst, Client Service, Lena Schelzig.

Nichols was previously a Senior Vice President-Wealth Management at UBS, where he served individuals, multi-generational families and business owners. He also worked at Morgan Stanley/Smith Barney in several senior advisory roles. Throughout his career, he has embraced transformational technologies that promised to advance his ability to serve his clients and improve his practice.

Nichols is also an avid sailor and skippered the J/125 Velvet Hammer team to win the 2024 Pacific Cup. He also serves on the boards of the Preservation Foundation and the Tennessee Conservation Voters.

Growing Metro Area
