A Place for Mom Names Nidhin George as Chief Product Officer

Former Grubhub and Amazon product leader joins A Place for Mom to advance AI-enabled experiences for caregivers and partners

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--A Place for Mom (APFM), the leading platform that connects 20 million families with over 15,000 senior care providers across the U.S. to help them navigate their unique senior care journeys, announced the appointment of Nidhin George as Chief Product Officer today. George joins A Place for Mom to lead product strategy as the company develops a more personalized platform for families and senior care providers, powered by AI, data and advisor expertise. He will focus on reducing friction for families navigating care decisions while helping providers connect with the right families.

George brings more than 20 years of experience building consumer products across complex marketplaces, with a focus on customer empathy, personalization, conversion and trust. He spent nearly 17 years at Amazon, where he built a foundation in scaled consumer experiences, logistics, operations and customer-obsessed product leadership. He later brought that experience to Grubhub, where he helped build the company’s New Verticals business and led major product launches with Amazon and Instacart. His work also included applying AI and customer data to personalize experiences, improve service interactions and reduce friction across the customer journey. His experience closely aligns with A Place for Mom’s work to build a more trusted and connected marketplace for families, senior living communities and care providers.

“Nidhin brings a powerful combination of marketplace expertise, customer focus, and experience building personalized product journeys at scale,” said Tatyana Zlotsky, Chief Executive Officer of A Place for Mom. “As we continue to support families through one of life’s most emotional decisions, his proven leadership will help realize our transformation by leveraging technology that keeps humans at the center for more intuitive, trusted experiences. His expertise in building innovative B2B products at scale will significantly elevate how we serve our provider partners.”

George was drawn to A Place for Mom’s mission-driven approach and opportunity to apply his experience in marketplaces, personalization, and customer experience to senior care. In his role, he will focus on building products that better support families navigating the aging journey and help providers strengthen how they connect with seniors and families.

“As the senior population rapidly increases, more families will need expert guidance and support navigating complex care decisions,” said George. “For over 25 years, A Place for Mom has been the trusted brand and industry leader for families to turn to when it comes to senior care. I am excited to join and help shape a future where AI unlocks the full power of our unparalleled data trove, enabling deeply personalized customer experiences and driving sustainable growth. Our product roadmap will focus on supporting families and senior care providers, so they can get back to focusing on what really matters to them: caring for seniors.”

As A Place for Mom continues to evolve its platform, George’s appointment reflects the company’s commitment to attracting top product and technology talent to drive innovation in senior care. As Chief Product Officer, he will lead the company’s product vision and roadmap while building the technology to better support families, strengthen provider partnerships and power APFM’s next phase of growth.
