Nord Quantique has emerged as one of the most closely watched companies in the global quantum sector following recent demonstrations of quantum error correction at the individual qubit level and its selection for Stage 2 of DARPA’s Quantum Benchmarking Initiative. The company's architecture is designed to dramatically reduce the number of physical qubits required to achieve fault tolerance, creating a practical and energy-efficient path toward useful quantum computing.

"As we continue to advance our technology and engage with governments, investors, and partners around the world, it is critical that we elevate our communications and marketing function to match the scale of our ambitions," said Julien Camirand Lemyre, CEO and Co-Founder of Nord Quantique. "Tobi and Angela bring exceptional experience connecting complex technologies with diverse audiences and have played influential roles across Canada's innovation and quantum ecosystems. Their leadership will be instrumental as we enter our next phase of growth."

Elevating Nord Quantique's Global Voice

As Chief Communications Officer, Tobi Day-Hamilton will lead Nord Quantique's global communications strategy, executive visibility, public affairs, media relations, stakeholder engagement, thought leadership, and corporate reputation initiatives.

Day-Hamilton brings more than 25 years of experience in communications, marketing, fundraising, innovation strategy, and ecosystem development. Her work has included leadership roles supporting major initiatives at the University of Waterloo and engagement activities connected to the Institute for Quantum Computing (IQC), helping build awareness and support for one of the world's leading quantum research communities. Most recently, Day-Hamilton helped build the leading consulting agency supporting quantum companies, Streetwise Consulting. Throughout her career, she has advised technology organizations, startups, research institutions, and global brands while becoming a recognized advocate for innovation, entrepreneurship, and STEAM education.

“Every major technology revolution requires two breakthroughs: the science itself and the ability to translate that science into something people can understand, trust, and adopt. Quantum technology has reached that moment,” said Day-Hamilton. “Nord Quantique's approach to fault tolerance has the potential to redefine the economics and scalability of quantum computing. I'm excited to continue to shape the global conversation and help grow one of the companies defining its future.”

Accelerating Market Presence and Brand Leadership

As Vice President, Marketing, Angela Olano will oversee global marketing strategy, brand development, market positioning, partner engagement, and digital marketing.

Olano joins Nord Quantique after helping shape the visibility and growth of Canada's quantum sector through leadership roles spanning innovation, research, technology, and public engagement. She recently served as Director of Marketing and Communications at Quantum Industry Canada (QIC), where she worked closely with industry leaders, policymakers, researchers, and international stakeholders to strengthen Canada's position in the global quantum economy.

"Nord Quantique represents one of the most exciting opportunities in quantum computing today," said Olano. "Its approach to fault tolerance challenges conventional assumptions about scale, infrastructure, and energy consumption. I'm thrilled to join a team that is redefining what practical quantum computing can look like and helping build a brand that reflects the significance of that work."

Day-Hamilton and Olano will join Nord Quantique in July 2026.
