BTIG Grows Power and Utilities Investment Banking Coverage with Tom Widener Hire

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--BTIG announced today the appointment of Tom Widener as Managing Director and Head of Power & Utilities within BTIG’s Energy & Infrastructure Investment Banking group. Mr. Widener will play a key role in expanding BTIG’s coverage across the power, utilities and broader energy infrastructure sectors, further strengthening the firm’s capabilities in an increasingly active and evolving market.

Mr. Widener brings more than 35 years of investment banking experience focused on the power and utilities sector across M&A, strategic advisory and capital markets. He joins from Mizuho Greenhill where he served as Managing Director and Head of Global Power & Utilities. Previously, Mr. Widener was Vice Chairman and Head of Power & Utilities at Deutsche Bank. Earlier in his career, he was Head of Global Power, Utility and Renewables at Bear Stearns and a Managing Director at Merrill Lynch, advising power and utility clients globally.
