BioSapien Wins 2026 Startup World Cup Silicon Valley Regional Competition

SAN JOSE, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Startup World Cup, the #1 startup pitch competition in the world, successfully hosted its highly anticipated flagship Startup World Cup Silicon Valley Regional competition on May 7, 2026.

Out of the 15 finalists, BioSapien, a biotechnology company developing MediChip, a 3D printed drug delivery platform designed for localized treatment administration, was named the champion. This achievement paves the way for their participation in the Startup World Cup Grand Finale, which will be held in San Francisco on November 6, 2026, where they will compete for a $1,000,000 investment prize.

The event was organized by Pegasus Tech Ventures, a Silicon Valley–based global venture capital firm and leading provider of Venture Capital-as-a-Service (VCaaS) solutions. A panel of independent venture capital investors from Khosla Ventures, Samsung Ventures, Andreessen Horowitz, M12, and DCVC judged the finalists’ pitches and ultimately selected BioSapien as the winner.
