CAVA’s 2025 Impact Update: Growing with Heart, Health, and Humanity
Surpassing $1 million in donations, the company is expanding investments in team members, communities, and sustainable scaling
WASHINGTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--CAVA, (NYSE: CAVA) the category-defining Mediterranean fast-casual restaurant brand, today released its 2025 Impact Update, detailing the company’s continued commitment to people development, community support, culinary innovation, and sustainable growth.
The report reflects a milestone year for the company, surpassing $1 billion in revenue for the first time in 2025 while opening 72 net new restaurants across the country. Alongside this expansion, CAVA donated more than $1 million in cash or food retail value to local communities, and launched “Flavor Your Future,” a company-wide people platform designed to support long-term career development for team members.
“As we’ve grown, we’ve worked to stay focused on the things that matter most — our team members, our guests, and the communities we serve,” said Brett Schulman, Co-Founder and CEO of CAVA. “This year brought continued change and challenge across our industry, but our mission to bring heart, health, and humanity to food continues to guide how we grow and how we show up each day.”
A core focus in 2025 was launching Flavor Your Future, CAVA’s people development platform, which is central to the impact strategy. CAVA is committed to building a workplace grounded in generosity, innovation, and collective ambition, striving to promote from within and fostering an opportunity for team members to have careers, not just jobs. In fact, in 2025, 3,500+ restaurant team members celebrated advancements or promotions in their careers. The report also features several firsthand stories from team members across the company whose career growth reflects CAVA’s long-standing belief in creating careers, not just jobs.
The 2025 Impact Update highlights several key milestones and initiatives, including:
- Launched Flavor Your Future, a holistic people development platform focused on attracting, developing, and retaining talent across restaurants, support centers, and manufacturing facilities
- Donated more than $1 million in cash or food retail value through food recovery initiatives, Community Day fundraising partnerships, and philanthropic giving
- Continued investments in internal mobility and leadership development, including new General Manager incentives and expanded field leadership roles, including rolling out the Assistant General Manager (AGM) role, filling 175 positions in 2025
- Introduced and tested new Mediterranean menu innovations, including Chicken Shawarma and Glazed Salmon
- Joined the U.S. Food Waste Pact to support collaborative efforts to reduce food waste across the food system
- Continued investments in energy management, waste reduction, and emissions reporting initiatives, while piloting a comprehensive Energy Management System across 20 restaurants
“Impact at CAVA is deeply connected to our team members and our values,” said Jenny Roberts, Senior Director of Sourcing and Sustainability at CAVA. “As CAVA continues to grow, we know the small decisions we make every day can move the needle for tomorrow. Sustainability is about scaling thoughtfully at every level of the business in a way that supports our people, communities and guests, while staying grounded in the culture of care and hospitality that defines who we are.”
The 2025 Impact Update builds on the company’s inaugural 2024 Impact Report, released in 2025, and offers a focused look at the progress CAVA has made over the past year as it continues scaling its business with intention.
