Patel brings nearly two decades of insurance regulatory, governance, and compliance leadership experience spanning carrier, MGA, and multi-entity insurance platforms. In her role, she will oversee ISC’s compliance operations across its growing portfolio of programs and business lines. She will also direct licensing, regulatory filings, surplus lines tax compliance, product compliance, governance, audit oversight, and regulatory engagement initiatives. Additionally, Patel will partner closely with executive leadership to further strengthen ISC’s operational controls, compliance framework, and long-term governance strategy as the organization continues expanding across both admitted and E&S markets.

“We are continuing to invest in the infrastructure necessary to support our long-term growth strategy, and Sima’s leadership will play a critical role in that effort,” said ISC CEO Matt Grossberg. “Sima’s extensive experience building and scaling sophisticated compliance organizations across multi-carrier and MGA platforms, combined with her deep understanding of regulatory infrastructure and strategic governance, makes her an instrumental addition as we continue expanding our operations across both admitted and E&S markets.”

Prior to joining ISC, Patel served as Senior Vice President – Head of Compliance and Program Audit at Everspan Insurance Group, where she built and led the organization’s enterprise compliance and program audit functions across a multi-carrier, multi-program platform. During her tenure, she developed a scalable compliance infrastructure, enhanced regulatory oversight capabilities, and implemented enterprise-wide governance and audit initiatives to support nationwide program operations. Prior to Everspan, Patel held regulatory and compliance leadership roles at QBE North America, where she worked closely with both U.S. and international operations on regulatory and compliance initiatives.

“ISC is at an exciting stage of growth and expansion, and I’m looking forward to building a compliance organization that not only supports the business today, but strategically positions the company for long-term success,” Patel said. “What stood out to me about ISC was the entrepreneurial mindset, collaborative engagement culture, and commitment to innovation. Everyone is invested in the company’s success, and I’m excited to help build the governance and compliance framework that supports ISC’s continued growth and expansion.”
