Cap Six Poised for Further Growth with Appointment of Eric Javidi as Strategic Advisor

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cap Six, an SEC-registered investment adviser delivering a forward-thinking and cutting-edge approach for actively managed equity portfolios, today announced the appointment of Eric Javidi as a Strategic Advisor. In this role, Mr. Javidi will bring more than 20 years of experience to bear, spanning senior leadership of a multi-billion-dollar institutional investment platform, C-suite roles at public and private companies, investment banking, and wealth management. The addition of Mr. Javidi coincides with Cap Six’s commitment to the next step-change in the growth of its business through the advancement of institutional relationships, product expansion and optimization, distribution capabilities and strategic partnerships.

Mr. Javidi previously served as Managing Partner and Co-Head of Kayne Energy Infrastructure (“KEI”) at Kayne Anderson Capital Advisors (“Kayne Anderson”). Kayne Anderson is a leading alternative investment manager with approximately $41 billion in AUM across real estate, credit, infrastructure, and energy. KEI manages a suite of registered and unregistered products focused on listed securities in the energy and power infrastructure sector, including Kayne Anderson Energy Infrastructure Fund (NYSE: KYN). Additionally, Mr. Javidi has served as an independent advisor to some of the world’s largest infrastructure private equity firms. Parallel to his investing career, Mr. Javidi has served as CEO and CFO of multiple public and private companies in the energy sector, stepping in during pivotal inflection points and delivering highly successful outcomes. Earlier in his career, Mr. Javidi was an investment banker at Lehman Brothers / Barclays and UBS, advising on M&A and capital markets transactions across the energy sector. He began his career as a Wealth Management Analyst at Morgan Stanley.

"Eric brings a wealth of experience to Cap Six. He has led, structured and negotiated billions of dollars of investments and managed a multi-billion dollar platform at a leading alternative investment advisor that included management of an NYSE-listed ’40 Act fund. As a C-suite executive, he has guided highly successful outcomes for public and private companies through complex situations of high strategic importance,” said Coble Jorgensen, Founder and CEO of Cap Six. “As we expand our business in an effort to make our investment management available to all that could benefit, Eric’s perspective and experience meaningfully strengthens our strategic position. We are excited to welcome him to the Cap Six family.”

“Cap Six's proprietary, technology-driven platform — built around modern data infrastructure — underpins everything from institutional-grade research to precision-engineered portfolio construction. It's a modern rebuild of the active equity process, and a genuinely differentiated one in a space that's been waiting for much more of it," said Mr. Javidi. "With a nearly three-year track record of top-tier performance on its flagship strategies, the firm is primed for its next phase of growth — bringing this process and these results to a broader investor base. I'm looking forward to contributing to that effort.”

Mr. Javidi’s appointment follows a period of meaningful momentum at Cap Six, including the recent additions of Chief Growth Officer Todd Reesing and EVP of Portfolio Analytics Dana Erikson, as well as a strategic distribution partnership with Innovation Partners. Together, these developments reflect Cap Six’s deliberate build-out of the business as it scales for the future of the platform.
