SBSB Welcomes Seasoned Litigator Andrew Robbins as Houston Partner

Addition brings extensive litigation expertise to firm's Texas team

HOUSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Schouest, Bamdas, Soshea & BenMaier (SBSB) is pleased to announce the addition of Andrew Robbins as a partner in the firm’s Houston office, where his wealth of experience across diverse litigation practices will strengthen the firm’s maritime, commercial litigation and construction defense teams.

Mr. Robbins will focus his practice on maritime law. His experience in maritime and aviation law includes handling complex litigation regarding vessel collisions, air accidents, wrongful deaths, cargo issues, injuries and environmental incidents under the Oil Pollution Act of 1990. He also advised clients on business transactions, drafting commercial contracts and charter agreements.

“We could not be more thrilled to welcome Andrew to SBSB,” said SBSB Managing Partner John Schouest. “An attorney with his depth of experience will be an incredible addition to our maritime litigation team. I can’t wait to see all that we can accomplish together for our clients.”

Mr. Robbins joins SBSB from Gordon Rees Scully Mansukhani, where his practice focused on complex claims, construction defect disputes, business torts and maritime and energy-related litigation.

“Joining SBSB is an incredible opportunity,” said Mr. Robbins. “I have known about and been able to work with the firm on cases in the past. Being able to join them now not only allows me to align my experience with a firm known for its deep industry expertise, but it will also give me the chance to lead and mentor the next generation of maritime litigators.”

Mr. Robbins earned his juris doctor degree, cum laude, from the University of Houston Law Center, where he was inducted into the prestigious Order of the Barons. He is admitted to practice in Texas and before the U.S. Court for the Southern District of Texas.
