Martha Stewart Announces Hint, a New Home Management Platform Built on Human Expertise and AI

A new platform bringing expert-led guidance to homeowners, backed by $10M in seed funding.

CHARLOTTE, N.C.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Martha Stewart, home services veteran Yih-Han Ma, and AI thought leader Kyle Rush today announced the launch of Hint, a new company co-founded by Stewart that reimagines homeownership through the combined power of human expertise and artificial intelligence.

Hint launches with a $10 million seed round led by Slow Ventures, with participation from Montauk Capital — which incubated Hint through its venture studio platform —Tusk Venture Partners, Amplo, Energy Impact Partners, Hannah Grey VC, and Brian Kelly, founder of The Points Guy.

Hint is an always-on, AI-native home management platform that is a single, trusted interface to manage and optimize every facet of the home. By acting as a consumer-first advocate at every step in the homeownership journey, the company is on a mission to empower homeowners to take control of their homes and make homeownership more affordable for all.

Set to launch later this summer, Hint is built on a simple but powerful premise: while the home is the largest financial asset for most people, it is often managed reactively, through unexpected costs and fragmented decisions, rather than with foresight and strategy. Hint combines decades of expert insight with deep intelligence on the home to deliver personalized, proactive guidance helping homeowners navigate complex decisions, stay ahead of essential tasks, reduce costs, and enhance long-term value. The future of home management is dynamic, agentic, and continuously working on behalf of the homeowner; turn Hint on and let it go to work.

Through decades of television, 102 books, and a lifestyle magazine that has become a cultural institution, Stewart is the preeminent authority in all things home and has spent decades shaping how people experience and elevate their homes. Hint is a natural extension of Martha’s life’s work, a showcase for her vast expertise in the home and for her lifelong passion for helping everyday homeowners realize their homes’ potential.

“I have always been passionate about showing people how to care for and beautify their homes,” said Martha Stewart. “Hint brings that philosophy to more people, making the knowledge and expertise behind thoughtful homeownership accessible to everyone. Empowering people to make their home a place they love and one of their smartest investments is core to Hint."

“For too long, homeowners have been left to figure it out on their own, overwhelmed and worried they’ll be taken advantage of, and leaving real money on the table,” said Yih-Han Ma, co-founder and CEO of Hint. “Our mission is to act in the best interest of the homeowner, bringing clarity, confidence, and credibility to every decision. With Hint, we take the world’s leading home experts and employ AI to deliver highly personalized insights and continuous, real-time monitoring at scale, helping people make smarter decisions and stay ahead.”

Hint’s founding team represents deep expertise in the home and AI. Martha is the preeminent expert in the home. Ma, co-founder and CEO, previously built and led home services brands within Red Ventures’ $10 billion portfolio. Kyle Rush, co-founder and CTO, brings deep expertise in applied AI and leadership experience from engineering teams at companies including Casper. The rest of the Hint founding leadership team, including Andrew Serafin, Isaiah Sawhney, and Joe Guglielmi, brings decades of experience in home services, digital media, and e-commerce.

“The conditions for Hint have been years in the making. Homeowners aren't losing money due to bad decisions, but because of the lack of trusted guidance,” added Kevin Colleran, Co-Founder & Managing Director at Slow Ventures. “The gap between what people are spending and what they should be spending is enormous, and nobody has been fighting on their side. This team is changing that, and that kind of clarity at the earliest stage is exactly what we look for.”

“We see Hint as a defining platform for the next era of homeownership, one where intelligence replaces guesswork,” said Philip Krim, Co-founder and CEO at Montauk Capital. “Martha and Yih-Han have the consumer trust, domain expertise, and technical vision to change that. We're proud to back them.”

“I’m excited for Hint to revolutionize how people manage, save money, and increase the value of their biggest investment, the home,” said Brian Kelly. “I've spent my career helping consumers maximize their finances so they can travel better. But we all know there is no place like home."

Hint will be available on desktop and for download on iOS this summer 2026. Homeowners can sign up for the waitlist and priority access at Hint.
