The pre-engineered packages are designed to shorten lead time from ordering to completed modernization. By replacing outdated controls with the latest microprocessor technology and advanced components, Schindler ReStore and Schindler ReNew provide building owners with an efficient, cost-effective alternative to a full elevator replacement.

A Schindler ReStore modernization package includes:

  • Schindler controller with softstarter
  • Standard hall fixtures and car station
  • Hoistway and machine room wiring
  • Fully enabled digital connectivity
  • Optional door operator upgrade

A Schindler ReNew modernization package builds on the Schindler ReStore offering and also includes a submersible power unit with hush kit noise suppressor.

“Schindler ReStore and Schindler ReNew help building owners and managers take a proactive approach to modernizing aging hydraulic elevators — before downtime or parts obsolescence becomes an issue,” said Joe Bera, Senior Vice President of Modernization Sales at Schindler Elevator Corporation. “These solutions improve reliability, reduce unexpected costs, and give customers greater control over planning and budgeting.”

Schindler’s modernization expertise is trusted by major institutions and transit authorities nationwide, including Miami International Airport, one of the busiest airports in the world.
