Arete Health Announces Acquisitions of Virginia Rehabilitation & Wellness and Summerville Physical Therapy & Balance for Adults

Expands Arete Health footprint to 16 outpatient rehabilitation clinics across the Mid-Atlantic and Southeast

CORAL GABLES, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Arete Health announced today the acquisitions of Virginia Rehabilitation & Wellness, with locations in Chantilly and Fairfax, Virginia, and Summerville Physical Therapy & Balance for Adults in South Carolina.

The acquisition of Virginia Rehabilitation & Wellness strengthens Arete Health’s growing Mid-Atlantic presence, while the addition of Summerville Physical Therapy & Balance for Adults marks continued expansion within the Southeast region and further investment into creating greater patient access to outpatient rehabilitation services.

Since its launch in 2025, Arete Health has rapidly expanded through a disciplined strategy focused on clinician leadership, operational excellence, and strategic regional density. The organization’s growth began with the acquisition of Carolina Rehabilitation, a four-clinic outpatient rehabilitation platform in North Carolina, followed by the acquisition of ProFlex Physical Therapy, which added seven additional clinics across Maryland and Virginia.

With the additions of Virginia Rehabilitation & Wellness and Summerville Physical Therapy & Balance for Adults, Arete Health now comprises 16 outpatient rehab clinics, 14 of which were acquired and 2 de novo clinics.

Looking ahead, Arete Health plans to open additional de novo clinics throughout 2026 through its Operating Partner model, partnering with entrepreneurial rehabilitation professionals to expand access to care in underserved and growing communities.
