FALLS CHURCH, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Vierra Falls Church Health & Rehab is pleased to announce that Dr. Walid Alami, MD, FACC, FSCAI, a renowned board-certified interventional cardiologist, has joined its clinical team, marking a significant expansion of the facility’s cardiac capabilities. His arrival enhances the center’s well-established suite of specialized programs, including orthopedic rehabilitation, renal care, wound care, chronic condition management, and infectious disease.

Dr. Alami brings more than two decades of experience in cardiovascular medicine, with particular expertise in interventional cardiology, heart failure management, and peripheral vascular disease. He currently practices with Chesapeake and Washington Heart Care and has held numerous leadership roles throughout his distinguished career, including Director of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratories and Chairman of the Department of Medicine at the Arizona Heart Institute and Hospital.

A graduate of the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine, Dr. Alami completed his internal medicine residency and advanced cardiology and heart failure training at Baylor College of Medicine, followed by an interventional cardiology fellowship at Providence St. Vincent Heart Institute in Portland, Oregon. He is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and interventional cardiology, and is a Fellow of both the American College of Cardiology and the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions.

Throughout his career, Dr. Alami has been recognized for clinical excellence, earning multiple “Top Doc” honors from Phoenix Magazine and Phoenix Health & Wellness Magazine.
