Sisense Intelligence reshapes how Sisense users build, explore, and act on data. Every capability in the suite is governed by an AI Management System now independently certified to ISO/IEC 42001:2023, including:

  • Assistant: Ask questions in plain English. Get dashboards, queries, and visualizations in return, without having to use SQL or specialized data science teams.
  • Narrative: Every chart and widget is automatically narrated in plain language by AI that surfaces what matters most.
  • Semantic enrichment: AI-generated descriptions transform raw data model schemas into context-rich analytical assets.
  • Compose SDK: Drop AI-powered analytics components directly into React, Angular, and Vue applications with an API-first developer experience.

"Customers building on Sisense are deploying AI into the workflows their own users depend on every day, and that demands a foundation of absolute trust," said Ariel Katz, Sisense CEO. "Achieving ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification for the management system behind Sisense Intelligence gives our customers independent assurance that the way we develop, deploy, and oversee AI meets a recognized international benchmark."

About the standard

ISO/IEC 42001:2023 establishes the international requirements for Artificial Intelligence Management Systems, providing organizations with a structured framework to govern the risks and opportunities associated with AI. The standard requires organizations to establish, implement, maintain, and continually improve formal processes for AI risk assessment, data and model lifecycle controls, transparency, human oversight, and continual improvement.

The Sisense AI Management System was assessed by Schellman against the requirements of ISO/IEC 42001:2023, including:

  • AI risk management: Systematic identification, assessment, and treatment of AI-specific risks.
  • Data and model lifecycle controls: Governance over the data and processes that support AI development and operation.
  • Transparency: Documented practices for explaining how AI systems are designed, developed, and operated.
  • Human oversight: Defined accountability and review mechanisms for AI-related decisions.
  • Continual improvement: Ongoing measurement and refinement of the management system.

The ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certification (Certificate Number 1416756-1) joins the existing Sisense security, privacy, and compliance credentials, including ISO/IEC 27001:2022, ISO/IEC 27701:2019, SOC 2 Type II, and HIPAA. Together, these independent attestations provide enterprises with a comprehensive governance foundation as they adopt agentic, AI-driven analytics.

The Sisense ISO/IEC 42001:2023 certificate is available for review at trust.sisense.com, and can be independently verified through Schellman's certificate directory at schellman.com/certificate-directory.
