Pizza Nova Welcomes Back Beloved One-Day “That’s Amore Pizza for Kids” Event on May 12 in Support of Variety Ontario

$5.99 medium cheese or pepperoni pizzas available across Ontario, with $1 from each pizza supporting children with disabilities

TORONTO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Pizza Nova is marking a major milestone with the return of its beloved one-day fundraising event for Variety – the Children’s Charity (Ontario) as part of the 27th annual That’s Amore Pizza for Kids campaign.

For the first time since 2019, Pizza Nova is bringing back its original one-day offer across participating locations in Ontario. On Tuesday, May 12 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. or while quantities last, customers can walk-in and purchase a medium cheese or pepperoni pizza for just $5.99 (tax included), with $1 from every pizza sold donated to support children and families at Variety.

This return to the campaign’s original format is designed to bring communities together for a single, province-wide day of giving. Over the past 27 years, the partnership has raised more than $2.9 million in support of children and their families. In 2025, with the Dip ‘n Give format, the campaign achieved a record-breaking $231,045.

“Bringing back the one-day event is incredibly meaningful for our customers and for us,” says Domenic Primucci, President of Pizza Nova. “There’s something special about seeing communities come together for a single day with a shared purpose. For 27 years, our partnership with Variety has been rooted in making a real impact, and we’re proud to continue supporting children and families across Ontario in such a tangible way.”

Funds raised through the campaign directly support inclusive sport, recreation, and life skill development programs, empowering children of all abilities to build confidence, develop skills, and participate fully in their communities.

“Pizza Nova has been an extraordinary partner in creating opportunities for vulnerable individuals through Variety,” Charlie Johnstone, President and Chief Executive Officer of Variety – the Children’s Charity (Ontario) & Variety Village. “The return of this one-day campaign brings renewed energy to the program, uniting communities together in a shared moment of impact. Every pizza purchased provides children and families with access to inclusive programs that foster independence, confidence, and a sense of belonging.”

Since 1999, Pizza Nova and the Primucci family have played a vital role in supporting Variety Ontario’s mission to remove barriers and create opportunities for vulnerable children and families. Through programs delivered at Variety Village and within local communities across Ontario, participants build physical literacy, confidence, social connection, and independence, exploring their potential and achieving what can often feel out of reach.

The 2026 That’s Amore Pizza for Kids fundraiser will take place on May 12 starting at 11 a.m., at participating Pizza Nova locations across Ontario, while quantities last.
