Extraordinary Trust, formerly known as Fieldpoint Private Trust, Rebrands as an Institutional Platform for Multi-Generational Wealth and Advisor Partnership
An integrated trust and private multi-family office platform designed for multigenerational impact, advisor alignment, and complex wealth
NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Fieldpoint Private Trust, a South Dakota-chartered, non-depository trust company, announced its rebrand to Extraordinary Trust, a move that formalizes the firm’s evolution from traditional trust administration into a fully integrated wealth architecture platform serving extraordinary families and their advisors.
"[Extraordinary Trust] is the infrastructure that...families actually need, the kind that holds up under the weight of a business exit, an estate transition, or a legacy designed to span generations."

The rebrand reflects a strategic and philosophical inflection point for the firm, to offer institutional infrastructure, integrated wealth design, and multigenerational stewardship in a single, advisor-aligned platform.
Built on Experience
Extraordinary Trust did not originate in a boardroom. It emerged from a working partnership between Nicholas Stonestreet, CEO and CIO of Extraordinary Trust, and Don Wenner, Founder and CEO of DLP Capital, a firm ranked among the Inc. 5000 fastest-growing companies in America for thirteen consecutive years.
Nicholas Stonestreet brings more than 30 years of experience building and leading financial services enterprises across the United States and internationally. That experience structuring complex cross-border wealth for some of the world’s most complex families and multigenerational transition became the operational and philosophical foundation of Extraordinary Trust.
The rebrand to Extraordinary Trust reflects a deliberate positioning decision: that the firm’s capabilities, spanning directed and delegated trust administration, family office services, advanced tax and estate planning, and investment management, require a platform designed to operate as a coordinated system.
Extraordinary Trust operates under a directed trust model, separating investment authority to allow families to retain their existing advisors while the firm assumes fiduciary oversight. This structure reinforces alignment with advisors, positioning the firm as additive rather than competitive.
“We were not building a trust company. We were building the infrastructure that extraordinary families actually need, the kind that holds up under the weight of a business exit, an estate transition, or a legacy designed to span generations. Extraordinary Trust is that infrastructure, formalized.”
— Nicholas Stonestreet, CEO and Chief Investment Officer, Extraordinary Trust
Leadership With Depth
The Extraordinary Trust leadership team brings together senior experts from Northern Trust, Ernst & Young, Day Pitney LLP, and Arthur Andersen, as well as institutional investment and financial planning backgrounds.
Brian Donovan, President of the Family Office division, brings nearly 30 years of experience in tax, estate planning, and multigenerational wealth structuring, including leadership roles as Senior Managing Director for Northern Trust’s Global Family and Private Investment Office.
Shirley Posada, Senior Relationship Manager, joins with more than 20 years of senior client advisory experience, most recently at Northern Trust, where she oversaw integrated wealth strategies for high-net-worth families across investment management, legacy planning, and philanthropic structuring.
Nick Bertha serves as Chief Fiduciary Officer, bringing more than 30 years of experience advising ultra-high-net-worth families on complex estate and income tax matters with expertise in tax law, wealth transfer, and trusts and estates.
“What distinguishes this team is not simply the credentials, but the operating experience. We have sat at the table during some of the most complex transitions our clients have faced. That is what families deserve, advisors who have been through the complexity, not just studied it.”
— Brian Donovan, President, Family Office, Extraordinary Trust
