Rimkus Strengthens Built Environment Leadership to Support Growth Across Canada

Appointments position the firm to meet rising demand for infrastructure, building performance and technical advisory services in key Canadian markets

Walter Gaudet has joined as Vice President of BES Canada, and Michael Hensen has assumed the role of Vice President of Technical Excellence for BES across North America.

The appointments come as Canadian public- and private-sector owners accelerate investment in infrastructure, housing development and climate-resilient buildings, increasing demand for integrated technical expertise across the project lifecycle.

Gaudet brings years of experience leading multidisciplinary business and infrastructure teams across Canada. A LEED-certified registered architect, he recently led AECOM’s Canadian Buildings and Places architecture and engineering business. In his role at Rimkus, Gaudet will oversee the continued expansion of BES capabilities across all Canadian offices, as they assist owners, operators, and investors in maximizing the reliability and efficiency of their buildings.

Hensen steps into the Vice President of Technical Excellence role following demonstrated leadership in advancing service consistency and technical rigor across the firm. In this role, he will support the growth of BES services throughout Canada and the US by strengthening technical capabilities, enhancing technology, and continuing to invest in the development of Rimkus’ consultants. He will also play a key role in the continued expansion of Rimkus’ forensic services throughout Canada.

Together, these leadership changes support accelerated growth across Rimkus’ built environment services, including Building Envelope and Roof Consulting, Construction Advisory, Energy and Resilience, Mechanical and Electrical Engineering Consulting, Civil Engineering, Real Estate Due Diligence, Environmental, Health and Safety, Architectural, and Structural Engineering, as demand continues to increase across major Canadian markets.
