The Standard Expands Workplace Possibilities Program With New Interactive Center in Dallas

New immersive space builds on The Standard’s long‑standing leadership and expertise in disability and workplace accommodations.

DALLAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Standard Insurance Company (The Standard) is expanding and modernizing its return‑to‑work and accommodation program through an immersive and interactive learning environment — the Workplace Possibilities Experience — in the company’s new regional hub in Dallas, Texas. The hub, which opened this month, is purposefully designed for team collaboration, events and customer engagement.

“The new Workplace Possibilities Experience is designed to help employers better understand the realities employees face and how the right accommodations can remove barriers and make a meaningful difference in their lives.”

For more than a decade, the Workplace Possibilities program has been a key differentiator in The Standard’s approach to helping employees stay at work or return to work sooner when a health condition or disability affects job performance. Through a proactive whole-person model, dedicated clinical experts work with employers and employees to identify barriers, recommend accommodations and coordinate solutions that support recovery, productivity and engagement.

“The new Workplace Possibilities Experience offers an immersive environment for bringing our years of expertise to life,” said Nathan Whiteley, vice president of Absence and Disability Services at The Standard. “It’s designed to help employers better understand the realities employees face and how the right accommodations can remove barriers and make a meaningful difference in their lives.”

Unlike traditional disability management programs, the Workplace Possibilities Experience emphasizes early intervention and collaboration. Consultants work closely with employees, employers, medical providers and human resources teams to develop customized plans that may include workplace assessments, ergonomic recommendations, adaptive equipment, behavioral health support and coordination with other benefits.

The Workplace Possibilities Experience interactive center showcases real‑world workplace challenges and solutions through adaptive equipment, assistive technology and accommodation examples. Self‑guided tours demonstrate how thoughtful accommodations support productivity and meaningful work while positioning the space as a central hub for collaboration, education and customer engagement.
