Tiny Technologies Debuts TinyMCE AI, Bringing Built‑In AI Writing Tools to TinyMCE

Developers ship AI writing features in hours, not months — and content teams never have to leave the editor to use them

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Tiny Technologies, a Tiugo Technologies portfolio company, today announced the evolution of the world-renowned TinyMCE rich text editor with the release and general availability of TinyMCE AI, a fully integrated AI writing environment built into the editor.

TinyMCE AI gives content teams everything they need to write, refine and review — conversational AI, instant text transformations and automated quality checks — all without leaving the editor. This addition to the platform means that developers can meet user demand for robust AI content capabilities without adding a technical burden to application teams or imposing model lock-in.

“Content teams have been forced to bounce between their editor and external AI tools like ChatGPT and Claude just to get work done,” said Roman Khudonogov, senior director of product management at Tiugo Technologies. “That constant context-switching slows everything down. We built TinyMCE AI so the entire workflow happens in one place.”

With the new functionalities, developers can enable enterprise-grade AI features via a simple, trusted drop-in module. Content teams gain a collaborative writing partner that helps with research, understands the context of a full document, suggests changes through familiar editing markups, adapts to brand guidelines through custom prompts, and automatically catches quality issues.

New AI capabilities in TinyMCE

TinyMCE AI adds a set of intelligent capabilities that help users create, refine and review content more efficiently within the editor, while giving organizations greater control over quality, tone and brand consistency.

Starting with version 8.4, key features include:

  • Conversational AI Chat: Enables multi-turn, natural-language conversations with full awareness of the active document and the ability to add additional context via web searches and file attachments.
  • Context-Aware Quick Actions: Applies rewriting, expansion, shortening and tone adjustments directly to selected text.
  • AI Review: Runs automated quality checks and delivers inline suggestions to improve clarity, consistency and accuracy.
  • Custom Prompts: Allows organizations to define and enforce brand voice, style guidelines and content standards across teams.

Built for developers and content teams

TinyMCE AI is built to deliver value across both technical and business teams, balancing developer-friendly flexibility with enterprise-grade control, consistency and cost predictability.

Developers and product teams benefit from:

  • Drop-In Integration: Enables AI-powered features without building or maintaining custom infrastructure.
  • Flexible API: Allows configuration capabilities, customizes prompts and controls access by user role.
  • Multi-Provider Support: Works with leading AI providers through Tiugo’s managed AI subsystem.
  • Usage Transparency: Provides clear visibility into credit consumption and quota management.
  • No Maintenance Overhead: A fully managed service with automatic updates and ongoing model improvements.

Enterprise buyers and content leaders enjoy:

  • Accelerated Content Production: Helps teams draft faster while maintaining quality and governance standards.
  • Brand Consistency: Custom prompts enforce approved voice, tone and style guidelines at scale.
  • Reduced Editing Cycles: AI Review identifies issues early, shortening approval and revision workflows.
  • Predictable Costs: Usage-based pricing scales efficiently from small teams to enterprise volumes.
  • No Tool-Switching: Keeps content teams focused in a single, familiar editing environment.

Pricing and Availability

TinyMCE AI is now available as a cloud-hosted add-on for Essential-tier subscribers and above. The product uses a usage-based credit model across three standard tiers, starting at 100 million credits per month for small teams, 400 million for mid-size operations and 800 million for larger organizations. Custom enterprise allocations are also available through the sales team. A self-hosted option is expected later in 2026.
