Aetherflux Appoints Brad Koenig to Advisory Board

Koenig joins Aetherflux at a pivotal moment as the company prepares for its first orbital data center project launch, targeted for Q1 2027

SAN CARLOS, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aetherflux, the orbital energy infrastructure company founded by Robinhood co-founder Baiju Bhatt, today announced the appointment of Brad Koenig to its Advisory Board. Koenig joins Aetherflux at a pivotal moment as the company prepares for its first orbital data center project launch, targeted for Q1 2027. In this role, Koenig will provide strategic guidance on commercial strategy and roadmap, helping accelerate the path to market for high-performance compute infrastructure in space.

Koenig brings over 20 years of experience across investment banking and consulting. Most recently, he served as Senior Relationship Director for the US Department of Commerce for the NIST-CHIPS program office, where he led funding efforts for major tech companies, including Intel, HP, and worked closely with leading semiconductor customers such as Apple, Microsoft, Nvidia, Amazon and Google to receive input on critical issues relevant to CHIPS Program objectives.

Earlier in his career, Koenig spent two decades as a partner at Goldman Sachs, and later founded FoodyDirect.com (acquired by Goldbelly), an online marketplace connecting consumers with top restaurants and artisan food shops nationwide. He also previously served as Co-CEO of Apex Technology Acquisition Corp. His experience across finance, strategic investment, and advanced technology, makes him a valuable partner as Aetherflux scales.

“As we move from concept to deployment, the real work shifts from building the technology to figuring out how it gets adopted and scaled,” said Baiju Bhatt, Founder & CEO of Aetherflux. “Brad’s perspective is exactly what we need as we prepare for our first orbital deployment.”

“Power and compute are starting to shape what’s actually possible in AI, and where that infrastructure lives is becoming a much more practical question,” said Koenig. “Aetherflux is taking a different approach by moving that into orbit, and I’m looking forward to helping the team as they move from early deployment toward something repeatable at scale.”

Koenig joins a growing group of advisors, including Matthew Seaford and Dan Gallagher who have expertise in security, government, and defense. Together, this team will provide critical guidance as Aetherflux enters a defining year, laying the groundwork for the first space-based power grid and reimagining how AI infrastructure is built and powered.
