Creativebug Launches Creativebug Borrow for Libraries, Expanding Patron Access to Premium Creative Learning Platforms

New pay-per-use offering gives library patrons one-week access to premium digital creative resources through Creativebug for Libraries.

BERKELEY, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Creativebug announced the launch of Creativebug Borrow, a new pay-per-use add-on for the Creativebug for Libraries enterprise program that enables library patrons to borrow access to premium digital creative learning platforms for seven days at a time. The new product will be available to library partners beginning April 1, 2026.

Creativebug Borrow expands the value of library digital learning by allowing participating libraries to offer patrons temporary access to specialized creative education platforms beyond the core Creativebug subscription, all through a seamless single sign-on experience.

“Creativebug Borrow gives libraries a flexible new way to introduce patrons to high-quality digital creative learning from trusted brands," said David Saabye, CEO of Creativebug's parent company, Golden Peak Media. "We're proud to grow this program with partners like Artists Network and Gibson App, and we see significant opportunity ahead.”

Initial launch partners include:

  • Artists Network, offering more than 850 instructional video workshops across painting, drawing, and mixed media, plus digital magazine archives, eBooks, and expert-led skill-building resources.
  • Gibson App, the guitar learning platform featuring interactive lessons, real-time feedback, genre-based learning paths, and built-in practice tools.

Creativebug Borrow provides libraries the following key features:

  • Single sign-on access for patrons
  • Pay-per-use billing
  • Usage statistics and reporting
  • Seven-day checkout periods
  • Library-level customization of available platforms
  • Access to digital content from established creative brands

Creativebug Borrow is designed to complement the core Creativebug for Libraries subscription, which already provides access to thousands of art and craft classes. Libraries currently using Creativebug can activate Creativebug Borrow as an add-on to their existing subscription.
