U.S. Department of Air Force Renews and Expands Hypori BYOD Workspace Anywhere Program

Air Force expands current Hypori BYOD offering an additional 70%, enabling expansion and introduction of additional capabilities

RESTON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Hypori, the leading secure virtual mobile infrastructure (VMI) platform, announced today the renewal and expansion of its contract with the Office of the Secretary of the Air Force, Chief Information Officer (SAF/CN). Under the expanded agreement, the Department of the Air Force (DAF) will increase its allocation of Hypori Mobile licenses from 10,000 to 17,000, delivering secure remote access to more Airmen, Guardians, civilians, and contractors across the enterprise.

“Workspace Anywhere is an important part of our digital-modernization efforts,” said Jim Beaver, Division Chief, Enterprise IT Capability Planning, Headquarters Cyberspace Capabilities Center.

DAF’s Workspace Anywhere program—powered by Hypori—provides bring-your-own-device (BYOD) access to DoD365 services, including NIPRNet, Outlook email, Microsoft Teams, CAC-enabled websites, and Controlled Unclassified Information (CUI), all without storing any government data on personal devices.

“Workspace Anywhere is an important part of our digital-modernization efforts,” said Jim Beaver, Division Chief, Enterprise IT Capability Planning, Headquarters Cyberspace Capabilities Center. “By expanding this capability, we’re giving more of our workforce secure, flexible access to the tools they need—while protecting mission data and preserving the privacy of our personnel.”

Demand for the Workspace Anywhere program has continued to surge, with more than 15,000 users currently on a waitlist. The expansion of licenses will help the DAF onboard more users and introduce a streamlined distribution process to accelerate secure, remote connectivity across the force.

With Hypori, users maintain full privacy: personal data is never accessible to the government and can never be wiped or seized, even during an incident response. Hypori—rigorously tested, accredited, and approved across the Department of War (DoW)—enables secure mobility with full PKI access without requiring a physical Common Access Card (CAC). Hypori never allows government data to be transmitted or stored on a personal device, and inversely never allows the personal device to directly access protected government data.

“It’s an honor to continue expanding our work with the Air Force and Space Force through the success of Workspace Anywhere program,” said Jared Shepard, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Hypori. “We continue to work with the warfighter to better understand requirements, shortfalls and challenges, then develop protected, scalable solutions to support the Department of War.”

Hypori remains the only enterprise wide-authorized BYOD platform for the DoW, meeting the highest standards for cybersecurity, privacy, and federal compliance. By ensuring no data ever resides on the device, Hypori eliminates the risk of loss, theft, compromise, or exploitation at the edge.
