Beyond Code Collective Announces Leadership Team and Tech Futures National Council

The Council Includes Experienced Technologists, Academics, and Business Leaders Committed to Addressing the Technology Divide and Creating Greater Access

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Beyond Code Collective (Beyond Code), a nonprofit organization that connects learners of all backgrounds with technology education, hands-on training, and opportunities to build cutting-edge technologies, today announced the formation of its Tech Futures National Council. Beyond Code also appointed Mica Le John as Executive Director, Jihan Johnston-McGlotten as Managing Director of The Forge, and Ramon Clemente as Head of After The Game. These milestones position Beyond Code to advance its mission of preparing individuals across generations to seize the opportunities of a tech-powered world for long-lasting career mobility.

Mica Le John will serve as Beyond Code CEO’s execution partner, supporting the organization’s expansion, program development, brand visibility, and community impact. Le John brings over a decade of experience at the intersection of technology, creativity, and social impact work, and she transitions into her role as Executive Director from leading strategic partnerships and innovation at Black Girls Code.

Jihan Johnston-McGlotten joins as Managing Director of The Forge, Beyond Code’s network of intergenerational, site-specific hubs that integrate technology education, community engagement, and workforce development. Johnston-McGlotten, who brings over a decade of experience building tech communities and driving access, is responsible for leading growth and driving expansion of The Forge in Atlanta.

Ramon Clemente joins Beyond Code after a 17-year professional basketball career. He will serve as Head of After the Game, a national, cohort-based workforce program for transitioning or recently-retired professional and NCAA student-athletes. This structured program bridges the "digital skill divide" with technical leaders teaching live classes and building curricula, and a community providing wraparound support that covers everything from corporate readiness to job placement.
