Zion Forever Project Announces National Search for New Board Members

SPRINGDALE, Utah--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Zion Forever Project is launching a nationwide search for two to four new board members who believe that the sacred and significant landscapes of Zion National Park and the greater Zion region need dedicated, passionate people to help protect them. The organization is seeking a well-connected and mission-driven cohort to join its board and help steward one of America’s most cherished national parks through a pivotal new chapter.

Since 1929, Zion Forever Project has epitomized a legacy of dedication and passion for conserving and enhancing Zion National Park and its surrounding landscape. As the official philanthropic and operational partner for Zion National Park, Cedar Breaks and Pipe Spring National Monuments, and Dixie National Forest, the organization works side by side with the National Park Service daily, funding critical park projects, preserving land, and supporting education programs that connect millions of visitors to the wonder of these places. Guided by a new five-year strategic plan, Zion Forever Project is entering a transformative new chapter of organizational growth and expanding impact across the public lands landscape.

As a Zion Forever Project board member, the individual in this role will be instrumental in providing strategic oversight, leveraging expertise and expanding the organization's reach through connections. This position is crucial in deepening collaborative efforts with government partners, gateway communities and conservation partners to create lasting connections to the greater Zion landscape that will lead to lifelong stewardship. These efforts will have a direct impact on approximately 5 million visitors each year, more than the Grand Canyon, Yellowstone or Yosemite. Zion National Park is a globally significant landscape and a cornerstone of Utah’s outdoor heritage.

Whether rooted in the Greater Zion region or anywhere across the country, Zion Forever Project is particularly seeking individuals with experience in government affairs and political acumen, land conservation and stewardship, and philanthropic networks. No prior board experience is required.
