Praesidium Earns PBSA® Accreditation, Strengthening Its Leadership in Abuse Prevention

As part of that commitment, Praesidium has achieved accreditation through the Professional Background Screening Association (PBSA®) Background Screening Credentialing Council (BSCC). After successfully demonstrating compliance with the Background Screening Organization Accreditation Program (BSOAP), Praesidium is now formally recognized as BSCC-Accredited to the U.S. Employment Screening Standard.

The PBSA Background Screening Organization Accreditation Program was established to create a consistent, industry-recognized standard for background screening providers. To earn accreditation, organizations must complete a comprehensive desk audit of operational documentation followed by a rigorous virtual audit conducted by an independent third-party auditor. The review evaluates policies and procedures across six critical areas: Information Security, Legal and Compliance, Client Education, Researcher and Data Standards – Third Party Service Providers, Verification Services Standards, and Business Practices.
