LugLess Launches Dedicated Luggage Shipping Platform for Canada

The U.S. luggage shipping platform expands north, offering affordable door-to-door shipping for travelers across Canada

DENVER--(BUSINESS WIRE)--LugLess, the easiest and most affordable luggage shipping service, today announced the launch of its dedicated Canadian service. Just as LugLess serves travelers shipping within the U.S., its Canadian platform will offer domestic luggage shipping across Canada, province to province, city to city.

Canadian travelers face the same frustrations as American travelers: rising airline baggage fees, oversized gear that’s a hassle to haul and the headache of navigating airports with too much stuff. Yet Canada lacks a dedicated, consumer-friendly luggage shipping platform. Most options are either general courier services that aren’t built for luggage. LugLess sits in the sweet spot: purpose-built for luggage, easy to use and priced for everyday travelers.

Canada is a natural next step for LugLess and a strong signal that its platform can work beyond U.S. borders. The same technology that lets American travelers compare rates, book shipments and track their bags in minutes will now serve Canadians, with plans to build a Canadian partner ecosystem and expand into additional countries. LugLess’ Canadian service will operate as a standalone domestic platform, just as it does in the U.S., focused entirely on shipping within Canada.

LugLess will introduce Canada to a technology platform that finds travelers the best luggage shipping rates across major carriers, with the flexibility to add options like doorstep pickup, digital labels and additional coverage. For students moving between provinces, families hauling ski gear to the Rocky Mountains or snowbirds heading to Vancouver Island for the season, LugLess eliminates the heaviest part of travel in a quick, two-minute process, all within Canada.

“We’ve shipped bags for over 250,000 travelers in the U.S., and the demand from Canadian travelers has been impossible to ignore,” said Audrey Kohout, co-CEO of LugLess. “Canada deserves its own luggage shipping platform, and that’s exactly what we’re building. Launching a standalone Canadian service is a logical extension of what’s already working stateside.”
