Cyera Closes Major Gaps in Securing Enterprise AI

With the new Browser Shield for AI and Data Lineage products, security teams can now stop data exposure at the prompt and see exactly what AI is doing with their sensitive files

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Cyera, the AI Security Platform built for the age of agents, today announced a new set of capabilities: Browser Shield for AI, Data Lineage for files, and Cyera MCP. Together, these tools close the biggest security gaps in AI adoption - what employees are actually sending into AI, and what both employees and AI Agents are doing with enterprise data once they get access to it.

Both AI agents and employees are reading, copying, and transforming data and files internally - with little visibility into what changed, where it moved, or who (or what) touched it.

In addition, with the new Cyera MCP server, enterprises can now build their own security agents on top of Cyera’s platform to address data security risks at scale.

Employees are pasting sensitive data into public AI models before any security policy can run. At the same time, both AI agents and employees are reading, copying, and transforming data and files internally - with little visibility into what changed, where it moved, or who (or what) touched it. Cyera now solves these challenges both at the prompt level - within the browser - and as data moves and changes over time.

“The question security teams are being asked is no longer ‘Are we using AI?’” said Nir Rozen, VP of Product Management at Cyera. “It is ‘what data employees shared with AI, what data AI accessed on their behalf, and what changed because of it?’ If you can’t answer that, you don’t have control. Cyera now makes that answer obvious.”

Security that Moves at the Speed of AI

AI is redefining the boundary of the enterprise. From public AI tools to internal AI agents, data is flowing through pathways that legacy tools can’t see. Cyera’s new capabilities are built to secure these flows in real time:

  • Browser Shield—Protect at the Prompt: Provides real-time, discovery and prompt-level visibility for managed and unmanaged public AI tools like ChatGPT in-browser; reveals identities and connected account type; and stops unethical use and prevents sensitive data from leaving the organization with prompt-level alerting and blocking.
  • Data Lineage—Trace the Impact: Automatically maps how agents move, copy, and transform sensitive files throughout their lifecycle, connecting human and non-human access activities with data and identity insights; security teams can see if an agent creates a derivative file or shares a sensitive dataset, understanding potential blast radius impact and improving confident AI governance.
  • Cyera MCP—Build Your Own Data Security Agents: Allows teams to connect their AI tools directly to Cyera’s rich, accurate data security insights; With a simple setup, agents can conduct investigations and threat hunting, answer high-impact questions asked in plain language, generate executive-ready dashboards, and automate security operations such as risk remediation.

Cyera will demonstrate the Browser Shield and Data Lineage from the floor at the RSA Conference this week at Booth S-0654.

To help organizations kickstart their journey, Cyera also offers an AI Security Readiness Assessment, allowing security teams to identify emerging risks across their AI estate and build a foundation for secure, rapid adoption.

Cyera Raises $600 Million at $12 Billion Valuation to Continue Building the Trust Layer for the AI Era

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--In 2026, 68% of organizations cannot tell the difference between human activity and AI agent activity inside their own systems. Without that visibility, there is lack of trust, which has stalled AI transformation for many enterprises. This is mostly due to a gap that's structural - a lack of infrastructure. The AI industry built out chips, models, and compute; what is needed now is the layer that governs what AI can see and do--and how the risks it creates should be a...

Cyera Extends AI Security to Anthropic's Claude Enterprise

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Employees typically use less than 4% of the data they can access, but tools like Anthropic’s Claude can access all of it through a single prompt, including customer records, internal documents, and business-critical data. As AI becomes part of everyday work across regulated industries, security teams are being asked to govern a growing volume of sensitive data flowing through AI conversations, uploaded files, and automated workflows - often through systems traditional...
