TextNow Names Bonnie Herche as VP of Marketing
SAN FRANCISCO & WATERLOO, Ontario--(BUSINESS WIRE)--TextNow, the original provider of free-first mobile service, today announced the appointment of Bonnie Herche as Vice President of Marketing. Bonnie will lead creative, brand, product, growth, and lifecycle marketing in support of the company’s mission to break down barriers to communication through wireless services built for flexibility, beginning with free.
Bonnie brings over 20 years of experience spanning media, technology, and consumer brands, with a track record of building and leading high-performing marketing organizations during periods of transformation and rapid growth. She has held leadership roles at Pandora, Nickelodeon, Cengage Group, and, most recently, Crain Communications, where she aligned brand and growth marketing to deliver meaningful, revenue-driving outcomes. Known for shaping integrated marketing strategies and forging cross-platform, content-driven partnerships, Bonnie consistently translates ambition into scalable results.
As Vice President of Marketing, Bonnie will oversee the company’s full-funnel marketing strategy, uniting brand, product, growth, and lifecycle efforts under a single, cohesive vision. She will be responsible for elevating brand awareness and trust, sharpening product positioning and go-to-market strategy, accelerating customer acquisition, and deepening engagement and retention. Bonnie joins TextNow at a critical time when consumers are demanding greater transparency and flexibility from their wireless providers. 53% say their top priority is avoiding hidden fees or surprise charges, and 52% prioritize free calling and texting, highlighting a growing expectation for simple, affordable ways to stay connected.
“Bonnie brings great expertise in connecting brand storytelling with measurable growth,” said Lindsay Gibson, Chief Operating Officer at TextNow. “We’re excited to have her at TextNow, especially as we continue to expand access to free and flexible wireless options nationwide. Her instincts for what moves people and her ability to build lasting brand momentum will help us sharpen our positioning and ensure more people know there’s a better, more affordable way to stay connected.”
“I’m honored to join TextNow at such a pivotal moment in its journey,” said Herche. “Connectivity is essential to opportunity in today’s world, and TextNow is redefining what accessible phone service looks like. I’m excited to help spread the TextNow mission to everyone across the country.”
Bonnie joins the leadership team as TextNow builds momentum, recently launching eSIM and its most flexible data plans yet, anchored by a free option, following the expansion of its upgraded nationwide 5G network, furthering its mission to improve access to connectivity.
