Dynasty Financial Partners Highlights Growing Ownership Opportunities For Women In Independent Wealth Management

Trailblazer Series Spotlights Female Advisors Building Equity And Filling Leadership Roles In The RIA Channel

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Dynasty Financial Partners is marking Women’s History Month by highlighting a shift in wealth management: more women are pursuing equity ownership and leadership roles within independent registered investment advisory firms.

While women remain underrepresented across wealth management, representation within parts of the independent channel is gaining visibility. Dynasty reports that 43% of its workforce is female, and points to similar representation within OpenArc, one of the industry’s largest recent breakaway firms, which launched with a female Managing Partner and Chief Operating Officer and a 45% female employee base.

Through the Dynasty Women’s Network, a firmwide resource group focused on the empowerment and advancement of women in the financial services industry, Dynasty is featuring female financial professionals in its third annual Trailblazer Series. The series profiles women across Dynasty’s Network who are leading teams, building ownership stakes, and shaping their respective firm strategies.

“Independence gives advisors greater control over their client relationships, economics, and long-term direction,” said Shirl Penney, Founder and CEO of Dynasty Financial Partners. “For many women, this control creates a clearer path to leadership and equity ownership.”

Dynasty’s Network includes 58 independent RIA firms representing more than 500 advisors and over $125 billion in platform assets. These firms leverage Dynasty’s integrated platform of technology, capital solutions, investment banking, and operational support, empowering advisors to operate independently with the support of institutional-grade resources.

Now in its third year, the Trailblazer Series highlights women who are mentoring emerging professionals, contributing to firm growth, and expanding representation in senior roles across the Network.

The independent model has changed how Helen Andreoli, Managing Partner at Great Diamond Partners, views long-term career growth. “Equity ownership changes the conversation,” she said. “You’re accountable not only for clients, but for the long-term value of the firm.”

The Dynasty Women’s Network was established 7 years ago to enhance the visibility of women, equip the Network with the tools to attract and elevate women, and balance the representation of women in wealth management.

Throughout March, Dynasty will publish Trailblazer profiles on LinkedIn showcasing female financial professionals within independent firms.
