Corvias Surpasses 800 WELL-Certified Military Homes, Setting New Industry Benchmark

Only provider delivering indoor environment enhancements at scale, with nearly 5,000 homes on track by mid-2026

WARWICK, R.I.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Corvias today announced that the International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) has awarded WELL Residence Certification for 709 homes at Fort Riley, Kan., and Fort Meade, Md., bringing the company’s total to 812 WELL-certified residences.

The certification follows the installation of advanced air and water purification, lighting and humidity systems in each home, validated through independent third-party testing. The milestone – the largest WELL residential portfolio of its kind – supports service member readiness, family well-being, and long-term resilience.

Corvias is the only provider delivering certified indoor environment enhancements to military housing at scale, with nearly 5,000 homes slated for participation in the program by mid-2026. The company’s latest certifications are part of a broader strategy to extend the science-backed standards across its full 22,000-unit military portfolio.

“We’re not simply maintaining homes, we’re making intentional, measurable improvements that residents can see and feel in their daily lives,” said Kolby Stobbe, SVP of Property Operations at Corvias. “By working closely with our Army partners, we’re helping ensure military families live in communities that support comfort, stability, and peace of mind.”

“Our strength starts with our families. When we work together with our housing partners to create resilient, comfortable homes, we reinforce the foundation of Soldier readiness,” said Army Col. Jerry Nunziato, Fort Riley garrison commander. “Through continued investment in Fort Riley’s housing communities, we are ensuring our homes support sleep, indoor air quality, and overall comfort because those conditions directly strengthen resilience and mission performance.”

WELL-certified residences undergo independent third-party evaluation – including on-site testing and performance verification – to validate indoor air and water quality, lighting, thermal comfort and other indoor environment factors critical to wellbeing. Corvias’ documentation and implementation were recognized as “exemplary” by IWBI in the most recent certification review.

“Corvias is setting the bar for what it means to prioritize the well-being of residents,” said IWBI President and CEO Rachel Hodgdon. “Our service members and their families deserve homes that actively protect and enhance their health. This milestone shows what is possible when that commitment becomes operational reality. We commend Corvias for their leadership and demonstrating that WELL-certified homes can and should be the standard, especially for those who serve our country.”

The Corvias portfolio now includes 380 certified WELL Residences at Fort Riley, 409 at Fort Meade, and 23 earlier certifications at Fort Bragg, with over four million square feet of indoor residential space enhanced to date. The program integrates advanced air and water systems, sleep-supporting circadian lighting and humidity controls – all installed without major construction or occupant displacement. Participating families report a 78% increase in net air quality satisfaction and a 44% increase in net water quality satisfaction.

“Our mission is to create home environments that truly support the people who live in them,” Stobbe said. “We are committed to listening to residents and investing in solutions that advance our vision of defense communities that support well-being and total care of the force.”
