Altera Digital Health’s Sunrise Extends Partnerships with 14 Hospital Systems

Client momentum comes on the heels of major platform updates in Sunrise 25.1 and new product launches

NIAGARA FALLS, N.Y.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Altera Digital Health, a global health IT leader, today announced that 14 clients have renewed their contracts for the Sunrise™ electronic health record (EHR), reinforcing continued confidence in the platform’s direction, performance and value. The partnership renewals follow a year of significant platform advancement with the release of Sunrise 25.1, which added approximately 700 system enhancements, and the expansion of its product portfolio to support more connected and efficient clinical, financial and operational workflows across the enterprise.

Healthcare organizations that signed multi-year extensions with Sunrise include:

Made generally available in June 2025, Sunrise 25.1 was designed to simplify navigation, reduce cognitive burden and surface critical information at the point of care, reflecting a continued focus on usability and efficiency for clinical and operational teams alike. Additionally, Altera expanded the Sunrise ecosystem with the introduction of Sunrise Thread AI, a native ambient scribe and documentation assistant; Sunrise CarePath, a mobile patient engagement platform supporting secure messaging, self-scheduling, appointment reminders, notifications and online billing; and Sunrise Health Record, an intelligent faxing solution that embeds health information management (HIM) capabilities directly within the Sunrise EHR to streamline record management, improve compliance and reduce reliance on fragmented, third-party systems.

“Each renewed partnership is a testament to the confidence and trust in the direction of our product roadmap and the level of client service we strive for every day,” said Jay Adams, Executive Vice President for Sunrise, Altera Digital Health. “The enhancements we introduced over the last year are the direct result of really listening to our clients and understanding the challenges and opportunities before them. As healthcare continues to evolve, the Sunrise team stands ready to provide the solutions and guidance organizations need to adapt along with it.”
