Sodexo Campus Launches McCormick® Flavor Boosters to Bring More Spice to Campus Life

New spice blend program voted on by students to launch at nearly 100 campus dining locations nationwide

NORTH BETHESDA, Md.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Driven by Gen Z’s demand for personalization and amped up flavor experiences, Sodexo Campus is introducing Flavor Boosters, a new spice blend program featuring bold, customizable flavors developed in partnership with the McCormick® brand and selected by student vote.

Crafted from students’ desire to enjoy their meals based on their own taste profile and preferences, Sodexo and the McCormick brand gathered consumer survey insights from a panel of college students to define the standard Flavor Booster package with a mix of savory and sweet flavors, with options including:

  • Cajun Sriracha: A zesty fusion of fiery Sriracha heat and savory Cajun spices
  • Savory Garlic & Herb: A flavorful blend of rotisserie-style savory spices, aromatic garlic, and herbs
  • Spicy Italian Garlic: A robust blend of Montreal Chicken Seasoning, herbaceous notes of classic Italian Seasoning, and a fiery kick of crushed red pepper
  • Spicy Cinnamon Sugar: A sweet-and-spicy blend of cinnamon sugar with a bold kick of cayenne pepper
  • Cinnamon and Sugar: A classic sweet blend of warm cinnamon and sparkling sugar with a hint of spice
  • Southwest Citrus: A vibrant blend of smoky, earthy flavors of Southwest spices with the bright, zesty notes of citrus and pepper

Following the roll out of these six new spice blends, Sodexo Campus and the McCormick brand plan to continue these creative spice blends with limited edition blends available each semester. Future offerings will lean into timely seasonal dishes with creative flavor notes to elevate mealtimes.

“The students we serve are always wanting more choice in their on-campus meals, and Flavor Boosters are a way for us to listen to student preferences and feedback and incorporate new options quickly,” said Chuck Hatfield, Vice President, Culinary for Sodexo Campus. “Now students have an added layer of flavor to any meal, with the ability to customize what flavors complement their meals and their moods on their own terms.”

Flavor Boosters will initially be available at over 100 locations throughout the U.S. in Spring 2026 allowing students the opportunity to elevate their campus dining experience.
