SCE Extends More Than 500 Offers for Eaton Fire Recovery in Just Over 100 Days

Relief offered to claimants through the Wildfire Recovery Compensation Program exceeds $165 million.

ROSEMEAD, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Southern California Edison today announced a major milestone in the Wildfire Recovery Compensation Program, with more than 500 compensation offers extended to individuals and businesses impacted by the Eaton Fire. The program is designed to offer compensation in line with settlement values for similar claims in past wildfire lawsuits, with a more streamlined and much faster approach than litigation. In just 108 days since launching, relief offered to claimants through the program now exceeds $165 million.

“We know how deeply the Eaton Fire affected the community. This program is one way we’re working with clarity and compassion to support those impacted and help them move forward,” said Pedro J. Pizarro, president and CEO of Edison International, SCE’s parent company. “Reaching 500 offers reflects our commitment to helping the community recover as swiftly as possible.”

As of Feb. 13, 2026:

  • 2,345 claims submitted, consisting of 6,778 individuals
  • 507 offers extended to 1,457 individuals, totaling more than $165 million
  • 71 claim payments already made or in process to individuals, totaling more than $15 million

Fast Offers and Payments

To date, submitting a claim takes just over 100 minutes on average. A dedicated team works directly with claimants, guiding them through the process and delivering settlement offers within 90 days of a fully documented, substantially complete claim. Many offers are being extended in a fraction of that time.

The team offers these three tips to help accelerate the time to receiving an offer:

  1. Gather your documents. Before getting started, gather your supporting documents ahead of time and save them digitally for ease of uploading and attaching to your claim online. One-on-one assistance is also available.
  2. Check your email. Following your submission, the SCE team will reach out to you via email with status updates and requests for additional information, if needed. Depending on your email provider, the message may first go to your “promotions” or “spam” folder. Search for “SCE” or “Wildfire Recovery Compensation Program” to locate emails and add donotreply@scewebservices.com and wildfirerecoveryclaims@sce.com to your safe senders list.
  3. Respond promptly to any requests. If additional information is needed, reply promptly so the team can continue processing your claim.

On average, payments are being made within five days after all conditions in the settlement agreement have been satisfied, including SCE’s receipt of it — signed and notarized.
