Four Years in the Making – and Lucky Timing - Fly by Night Opens in Maynard as Circle Furniture Closes
MAYNARD, Mass.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--With Circle Furniture now closed, many Massachusetts shoppers are looking for the kind of furniture store that’s getting harder to find: independent, knowledgeable, and stocked with truly well-made brands.
Fly By Night Furniture is stepping into that moment with an official announcement of its new Maynard showroom at 36 Nason Street. After spending nearly 40 years serving customers in Western Massachusetts, they now bring that same model east: family-owned, built for the long haul, and already experienced with many of the best brands. The message is simple: Fly By Night has been “the Circle Furniture of Western Mass” for nearly 40 years—and now that Circle is gone, Fly By Night is already up and running as a family-owned business that’s been selling many of the same brands for decades.
The Maynard location features a curated selection of fine furniture makers long trusted by design-minded New Englanders, including American Leather, Lee Industries, CR Laine, Norwalk Furniture, Copeland, and Gat Creek.
Fly By Night’s approach is intentionally different from typical retail: the team is salaried (not commission-based), the pricing is straightforward, and customers are encouraged to take their time—measure, collect swatches, ask questions, and make multiple visits.
According to Richard Zafft, “We chose Maynard because it’s next to so many great towns, easy to reach from anywhere in MetroWest, and has a historic downtown full of restaurants. Just as important: it was affordable enough for us to find our own 12,000-square-foot building—the perfect size for a furniture showroom.”
“We strive to make furniture shopping easier—great brands, real guidance, professional delivery & ongoing service. We do all we can to build long-term relationships: 3/4 of our business is repeat customers,” added Zafft.
Their western Massachusetts customers have named Fly By Night the Best Furniture store (Reader Raves) and Best of the Valley Furniture store (Valley Advocate) in the region. They hope to repeat the same success and customer satisfaction at the new downtown Maynard store
Fly By Nights new 12,000 square foot store is now open in downtown Maynard at 36 Nason Street. You can visit their website at www.flybynight.com or flybynightfurniture on instagram for a full selection of what you will find in Maynard, or at their flagship store in Northampton Massachusetts.
