The article reported that in 2022 IFAW was involved in the translocation to the park of 263 elephants, which later attacked local farmers while in search of food. The Wall Street Journal reported Labuschagne is “leading the charge against the project.” Labuschagne was IFAW’s former Director of Law Enforcement for Southern Africa.
